This place gets really busy and either they don’t have enough people or they can’t handle that many customers, but more on that in a bit. This place isn’t too pricey, it’s about $25 for a meal, and if you add a drink, it’s closer to $32. If you want extras or substitutions, the price obviously will go up. You’re paying for a nice individualized hotpot that’s already precooked so you don’t need to wait, just eat. The food is tasty and full of flavour, so it gets points from me. Note that the level of spice is more “Asian” so a medium will pick a lot more heat than you would get at a place like a Cactus Club. I’m not sure how they divide their service, but whatever they’re doing, it’s not working. There were at least 3 people working on the front, I think one only makes drinks, and the other two alternate seating people and serving people. Water comes in one time use bubble tea style containers, which probably takes a while to get setup. Water comes about 5-10 mins after you sit. The poor server was carrying almost 10 of these drinks to hand to each table. It may also take up to 10 mins to get you seated, even if there’s empty seats. By the time someone came to ask if we wanted to add soup to our pot, most of the pot had already boiled away, the tables that sat after us were a bit luckier since their pots were still young, so to speak. Also, go up to the counter to pay, you can wait for the bill, but it’s much easier to just walk up (not an issue). Overall, the food here is good and definitely worth a visit. Hopefully it’s not too busy when you go, or they’ve improved their efficiency.

I've been to this chain hot pot place a few times and the quality is consistently good. There are a lot of hot pot options to choose from and all come with a free cup of iced tea, black tea or green tea. The prices are cheaper for lunch than dinner, so for about 20 dollars including tip you can get a hot pot with plenty of ingredients. I often order the fermented stinky tofu hot pot or the Korean kimchi hot pot. The hot pot is filled with a lot of vegetables and pork belly. The servers are generally friendly. They usually cook all the ingredients before bringing the hot pot to the table and light the gas stove to keep the temperature. You can also order side dishes or extra hot pot ingredients .Overall, this is my favorite cozy and budget-friendly lunch spot on a rainy or cold day. Updated: the weather has been very cold, so I came here to eat many times but the experiences were not very good. One time, when I had a question about a side dish, the server answered unrelatedly. Today, I arrived at 12:20 and there were few customers, but the two employees were too busy to greet me, so I had to sit down by myself. Even after sitting down, no one paid attention to me, and after 15 minutes, I had to go to the counter to order my food by myself.

One of the better personal Hotpot restaurants in the city! Love their beef Hotpot. Good combo of beef. Veggies and just a good mix in general in the pot. They don't have a time limit of how long you can sit and eat so that's nice! You can certainly take your time here and the staff will not rush you (or that hasn't been my experience at least). That being said. It does get very busy because their location isn't exactly made for large groups. And wait times if it's busy can be upwards of 40 min plus depending on the size of your group. But the food here is excellent. And the staff is generally nice and friendly. They do their best to serve people. It can be quite chaotic. In terms of price. It is a little on the pricier side of things. But that's what you pay for Hotpot. It's worth the money, in my opinion. Their ambiance isn't anything to write home about. It's nice, and well, that's about it. Overall. It's worth checking out if you enjoy Hotpot. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

I've been here a couple of times already and each time the service and food has never disappointed. But today I need to make a special shout out to the servers Jeffrey, Clara and Solar. They went above and beyond the usual already nice and friendly customer service. Went there for Mother's Day lunch today with my husband, 4 young kids and MIL. Everything was going as planned with good food and service until my kids decided they wanted more kamaboko, so I added a side order of it (by this time we were more than 1/2 way through lunch). The side order of 8 slices of kamaboko came and I threw it into my pot to cook as it was the only one left with a flame still going. After 10 mins of cooking it still didn't taste right. It was still kindda hard...not the usual soft and chewy. I told Clara and she was very apologetic and offered to replace the kamaboko or take it off our bill. My kids still wanted the kamaboko but by this time they also wanted more shrimp. I gave them a choice of one and they chose the shrimp. Clara was very nice to replace the kamaboko with a fresh plate of shrimp for us. They added more fire and stock into my pot to help cook the shrimp and took away the half cooked kamaboko that I fished out of my pot (I had 7 slices left after trying 1 slice).

Jeffrey came back later with the 7 slices of kamaboko fulled cooked by the inside kitchen. He apologized for the inconvenience and explained that it must have been because I was almost out of fire so the soup in my pot wasn't hot enough to cook the kamaboko. He had the inside kitchen cook the kamaboko and said that it's on the house. My kids were so happy that they got both extra shrimp and kamaboko.

When the bill came we gave them our stamp card and Jeffrey saw that I was just missing 1 stamp to get a free meal. Since we ordered 4 meals he filled in the missing stamp, and let me redeem a free meal and I only ended up having to pay for 3 meals. This is very much appreciated as he could have just filled in the missing stamp, gave us a new stamp card with 3 new stamps and we redeem the free meal at our next visit. I expected this to happen as most places with stamp cards wouldn't allow this as they state that you haven't technically paid the bill yet so the missing stamp isn't technically earned yet.

I cannot say enough good things about Boiling Point on Main. Good food, good service...actually excellent service!! Jeffrey, Clara and Solar, THANK YOU for making my Mother's Day lunch so special. Thank you for being so patient with my family and making my kids happy with the...

Last night April 7th around 6:45pm, my friend went in to get a reservation for a spot of five and they said it would take around 30 mins. However we went back to check if our table was ready, but apparently the server guy thought the other group of people were us and let them took our spot first… then he suggested that we wait for another ten minutes and maybe he could move the table around for us to all sit together. So that’s what we did. We waited for another ten mins, and came back with him telling us to wait for a bit to check if he is “allow” to move the table around for us to sit. Supervisor said no,and suggest that we split to eat separately ???? We first waited already, and they let other group to take our spot Then they tell us to sit separately ???? Their attitude was absolutely unacceptable. The supervisor said “it was “partially” our fault and that they were “too busy” and can suggest us to sit apart from eachother.” It was absolutely their fault for giving us hope that they could give us a spot! How can they have excuse for that???? And they don’t even actually try to make it up for us or feel “sorry” for us. They blamed it on their reservation system and said other people came before us?????? We ended up waiting for actually an hour to finally get a spot for 5..(started eating around 8) Me and my friends were already super hungry and they made us wait for an hour when we could have just ate something else. I suggest that the workers should be trained properly instead of giving extra hope for their customers. They should at least give us some appropriate service but instead they basically gave us the attitude that they can’t do much for us. I had never been this disappointed with the customer service at a restaurant. I will not be coming back here...
