I recently placed an order from Uber, taking advantage of their buy one get one promotion. Unfortunately, I was greatly disappointed with the quantity of the dish I received, as it was less than half the usual portion size. While I understand that promotions are meant to offer a deal, I felt that this reflected cost-cutting measures and compromised the overall quantity of food provided.

To add to the disappointment, the chicken tikka I ordered not only had a fishy smell indicating spoiled chicken, but it was also undercooked and lacked the flavorful spices I expected. Despite opting for delivery, I decided to return to the restaurant with my order so that the manager/chef could witness the problem firsthand. Regrettably, upon reaching the restaurant, I encountered an unfriendly manager who was also serving as the chef for the day. Initially, they seemed unwilling to address the issue or offer a resolution.

This entire ordeal not only wasted my entire evening but also left me feeling extremely dissatisfied with the entire experience. Upon returning home, I had no choice but to discard the food due to the persistent smell, bland flavor, and oily texture that did not meet the standards expected from this restaurant (possibly since the actual chef was not around today).

Given the attitude of the chef and the evident cost-cutting measures, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others. However, I do hope that the owner takes prompt steps to rectify these issues, as the place has potential with better...

Did the unlimited Thali. There's no information about it online. It comes with naan, rice, chickpea curry, 2 curry items, and one gulab jamun. You have to pick veg or non-veg and cannot mix. We picked non-veg and there are 3 options: butter chicken, lamb curry, or beef curry. The server did not specify what type of curry so I don't know what it is. You can choose the spiciness levels as well. When you want to order more, you can only refill the things you had. You cannot choose a different curry. Those are the limitations of this unlimited thali. You're also allowed to refill anything else on your thali (rice, naan, chickpea curry, gulab jamun).

We chose the butter chicken and lamb curry. It took extremely long for the orders to come. Each curry only had about 3-4 pieces of meat on it. The butter chicken was extremely good - probably the best I've had. The lamb was very tender. We asked for more refills and those came fairly quickly. However, the refills for 2 people is really just as much for 1 person - the same 3-4 pieces of meat to share between the both of us. The naan was nice and soft. The gulab jamun was well made as well.

Overall the quality is very good but having 1 server to handle the customers, the calls, and the delivery services is hard. There were only 2 tables seated at the time and the server was so busy already that one customer walked in, waited, and then walked out because nobody...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bombay Kitchen + Bar in Vancouver, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The interior is tastefully decorated, creating a cozy environment that enhances the dining experience.

The menu boasts a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavor. The spices are well-balanced, and the ingredients are fresh, resulting in meals that are both delicious and satisfying.

I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the dishes, especially considering the generous portion sizes and high quality of the food. It's excellent value for money, making it accessible for frequent visits.

The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided excellent recommendations and ensured that our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. Special highlight of the day was the cocktail crafted by Navish! He prepared a drink that was, without a doubt, the best cocktail I've had in recent memory. His mixology skills and attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience.

Overall, Bombay Kitchen + Bar delivers on all fronts ambience, food, pricing, and service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine...

A very quaint, authentic and local style Indian restaurant nestled at the bottom of Commercial Drive. The staff here are very talented, friendly, kind and approachable. One reason I decided to eat here was their great range of Vegan and Vegetarian options on their menu and a vast selection to satisfy my evening tastebuds as well as a nice dining area catering both inside and outside patio seating in a traditional and authentic setting. A great selection of food to choose from, using wholesome natural ingredients on classic Indian dishes with lentils and legumes instead of mock meat. They also use dry chilli and not oils in their dishes, which gives a great sense of flavour as well as natural aromas and spices and they ask you to tailor you level of preferred heat. The spicier the better I say! I got the Vegan Daal Bombay with a Vegan Tandoori Roti. Both absolutely delicious, however the roti was fairly greasy and caked in some sort of vegan butter or oil so I would suggest a naan or rice instead. The Veggie Samosas stole the show for me… super tasty and very yummy! Stuffed with lentils, peas and potatoes with fantastic flavours and spices wrapped in soft flaky pastry and fried to perfection, not too oily and pretty much perfect. Support local business!
