This was our third visit to this restaurant, even though we only found it two months ago. Unfortunately, we will never be returning. On Tuesday, we ordered a seven-piece signature chicken, a honey teriyaki chicken salad bowl, and a Coke Zero. After our first few bites, we noticed a rat scurrying around our feet. To our horror, it then moved directly across from our table, from the dining hall to the kitchen! We immediately called the girl to inform her about the rat’s presence in their kitchen. She responded with a mere “Oh, sorry,” without any genuine concern. Unfortunately, the rat reappeared around our feet, making it impossible for us to continue dining. Frustrated, we asked her to provide us with a takeout box and paid to leave. However, we soon realized that she had already poured the Coke into a cup, so we couldn’t take it home. We tried pouring it back to the can and it wasn’t possible and she saw it! Then we asked for another coke for to go since we have to change our dinner plan now and eat the rest outside that place. Despite seeing the damage they had caused, she refused to rectify the situation and charged us another $3.15 for the Coke. It’s not just about the $3; it’s about the poor customer service and rudeness of the employee. A successful business should be able to handle such situations with grace and professionalism.

Mogu fried chicken is questionably one of the best 🇰🇷 fried chicken places in Vancouver 🍗! I ordered the couples pack with shio garlic lemon and the creamy potato salad 🥗. The fried chicken had a light batter that gave a good crunch, but wasn’t too oily. The chicken was also very moist inside and you could taste the garlic lemon 🧄🍋- it was very flavourful. The pieces of chicken were pretty big too, portion was more than enough chicken for 2 people. The salad was like a mashed potato, so nothing too special to say about that 🥔😅. We also got the Taiwan Stir Fry Udon and Honey Grilled Teriyaki Chicken. The udon had a good level of spice and although it looks plain, pork and soft poached egg gave it nice flavour. The teriyaki chicken was okay, but if you’re ordering chicken, I’d stick with the fried chicken instead. Portion sizes were smaller than expected, but the quality and taste made up for it - so yes, I’d say it’s worth it! I would definitely recommend getting one of their convenient take out packs for better value though! 😎 If you’re craving Korean fried chicken, but want other good options like salad and udon, come here! 😆 Their chicken is amazing, yet the other options are good as well, hence their 4.8 star rating on google! 🐓

Mogu brings some excellent competition to the Vancouver fried chicken scene. Chicken karrages are a usual fan favourite but I can attest that Mogu cooks some of the juiciest and well balanced flavours in their original batter. Both sauces we tried (SPICY GOCHUJANG SESAME & SHIO GARLIC LEMON) were dynamic enough for us to alternate back and forth and the highlight of the meal was definitely their deliciously sweet Japanese 🥘. As we didn’t want to actually die from high cholesterol after the meal, we balanced our dishes with a garlic 🐮 and scallions stir fried udon dish. Scallions count as veggies right?⁣ ⁣ 🍛 crispy chicken katsu curry - this was my favourite dish for their curry more than the chicken. This dish hits all the 3pts 🏀with an addictive sweet & savoury as you’ll easily wipe the plte clean. ⁣ 🥩 ginger beef & scallions stir fried udon - nothing crazy, but it was nice to eat something other than fried chicken.⁣ ⁣ 🐓 regular signature Mogu fried Chicken - this boneless but maximum crunch chicken is no ordinary nugget. Filled with unami & juice, the regular felt very generous and I would probably order one size below⁣

The old female waitress is rude and not friendly. Frankly I am a Uber driver, finished my full time office work then started delivery right after to make the time worth it, it's hard to make a living nowadays so I have to work hard. I got this order from Mogu, the order wasn't ready when I arrived and was told needed to wait for 5 ~ 10 min, while waiting I asked the old female waitress very politely if I can use the washroom, she then refused and not even looking at me when saying it, very disrespectful when talking to someone with head turned away, she said it's for customers, there was another gentleman (a real customer) standing next to me try to explain and tell her that I pick up for their customer therefore I should be treated as a customer but she insist not to let me use the washroom. I thanked the gentlemen for trying to help me. To be honest, first of all, the order wasn't ready and I had to wait for 5~10 min, so why not make convenience for people who is working for "your customer" ? Secondly I asked you politely so please don't act like we are nobody to you. Thirdly please be understandable, I believe most driver's don't usually asked for a favor unless they really really have to. Last but not least, some day, I can be your "REAL CUSTOMER". I know you have the rights, but my last advise is please be considerate. You are the only one restaurant yet that I came across to let people use the restroom so...

Mogu Fried chicken was fantastic! I walked into mogu with my family. I had my two year old nephew with me. The restaurant had easy fun options for kids. The interior was great with a lot of good wood work with a big Godzilla mural on the north wall but with a funny twist. Instead of everyone running for their life they were running to get their fried chicken before the monster could eat it. I love their sake selection it was very big. The menu has many great options but not too many which makes it simple to choose from. As for fried chicken and friend ebi...🤤phenomenal. Downlow chicken across the street has line ups but only if everyone knew about mogu fried chicken. The fried food had a great light coating and not greasy at all. From drinks to food and even dessert everything was done with care. The bathrooms were spotless and very clean. During covid times their separation and booth isolation method was not crowd and felt like a normal restaurant. A very big plus was the staffs attention to detail and costumer care. The service was the most respectful and observant. I felt very cared for and that alone was so memorable. I can’t forget the pricing it was very good for the size and portions. My mom lived in Japan for years and felt mogu brought a little piece of Japan...
