Made an order on a day they were closed (power outage) and they had no mention of it anywhere. Went to pick up my order which to my mistake I should have noticed something was up, then I realized I couldnât even call anyone because the kitchen was closed. I called my bank asking for a refund and they told me to wait because the order would automatically refund, it did not. After a week of nothing happening I call them and talk to them about my situation, which they were very understanding of, and assured me that a refund was coming. A lot of back and forth was done for the next month and I started getting impatient. The owner and cashier assured me of a refund, and nothing came. Then, they texted me saying that a refund was done on July 2nd, which showed a total that neither matched MY total before OR after tax. Fed up with the situation, I just made a claim through my bank and I got my money back instantly. I was pondering on whether or not to make this review, but the dishonesty and lack of transparency only fuelled my frustration, and this review serves as a warning to anyone that might come across a similar situation. They are incapable of resolving these issues in a satisfactory way and hope they take this opportunity to change that. I can only hope you gave the money back to all the other people that mightâve ordered that day, too. Food looks pretty delicious, though, maybe one day I can...
Read moreOMG. read about this place in several magazines. commissary based, delivery or pickup only (no dine in, no, front office) in east van. the idea of the "french taco" where you have a tortilla wrapping a "brick" of protein, with fries and specially designed cheese sauce is genius. toppings include more cheese and/or other accessories like fried onions, mushrooms, etc. they have the basic make your own brick, or prestyled ones like fish and chips and vegetarian and the like. small, medium or large; i chose the large and my partner the small to see what the spectrum was; let me say i was not disappointed! the large should be classified according to its own postal code it's so big. probably weighs close to 4 lbs. i had no intentions on eating the whole thing, but it was gone before i could stop myself; hot and yummy, moist with all the protein combinations you could like (nuggets and tender too), pannini seared to finish it off. so good. the giant size is about 2.5x the small size. there is a coffee shop just next door attached to the commissary that has amazing coffee too and we took everything to the park just up the street and it was a perfect picnic day. will come back. alternatively, doordash and ubereats are the primary delivery services they...
Read moreOrdered from here twice through Uber eats.
First time was in January this year (2021) and girlfriend and I got the buy one get one deal on Uber and we got the small brick. Our choice of protein was chicken. It was really good, nothing to really complain about that time but girlfriend did mention that she wouldâve preferred a little less sauce but that comes down to personal preference.
Fast forward to today (May 21), girlfriend ordered the small brick again and I ordered the original brick with the buy one get one free deal again. This time the meat in both bricks were really dry and hard. Also there was a weird aftertaste that followed up indicating that the meat wasnât fresh. My âbrickâ had way too much fries, almost 60% of it was filled with fries, and the sauce was bland. There was no flavour this time.
Sadly, I donât think I will be ordering from this restaurant in a while or if ever again. Truly disappointed by their...
