Cafe Anecdote — Restaurant in Vancouver

I’ve been curious about this café for a while and was eager to try it out. Since I happened to be in the area today, I decided to stop by and check it out. Although I had already had my coffee earlier this morning, I wanted to see if they offered any healthier pastries worth trying. The glass display case was filled with an impressive variety of breakfast sandwiches, all of which looked fresh and appetizing. Unfortunately, they didn’t have the multigrain bread I was hoping for. The other pastries and desserts also looked appealing and well-made. I asked the staff about some ingredients, and while she wasn’t entirely certain about a few details, her friendly smiles and polite demeanor made up for it. I ended up ordering a vegan peanut butter cookie and settled into a cozy corner with a large, comfortable sofa. I don’t usually eat desserts, but this cookie was a pleasant surprise. The outer layer was baked to perfection—delightfully crunchy. While it was a touch too sweet for my personal preference, it was still much more balanced than most desserts I’ve tried. I have been meaning to go to this place for a long time, but I don't generally go to coffee shops, though it's quite near to my place. One day, I wasn't feeling great and it was on my way. I went and ordered a hazelnut latte. The ambience was so surreal, peaceful. The barista was so sweet. I had my latte without any interruption, even without looking at my phone. It was one of the best coffees I had. I went back another day and ordered a caramel latte, it was equally good and brought me peace. I made a habit of going to the cafe on my way from the bus if it's open. I have ordered a Hazelnut latte, vanilla latte, caramel latte and London fog along with a chocolate chip cookie. HIGHLY Recommend Cafe Anecdote + Bakehouse! The Food, Atmosphere, Staff, Service was just Phenomenal! The Quality of Coffee, to baked goods was just so delicious! They apparently bake all their pastries in house! the Scone was so moist, and decadent! I could not help myself by go overboard on my lunch! A quick grab and go, but was the true highlight of my day. Thank you guys! Your food and drinks are so delicious! I will let all my friends in the area know!

UPDATE: Been coming here once every couple of days since they opened and the baked goods, coffee (matcha Latte, and Latte is my favourite) is SO Delicious! The sandwiches are very elegant, cannot compare to regular sandwich shops.. this is how I treat myself almost on a Daily basis! Also, the Scones are SOOO...
