Absolutely disgusting food. I ordered Wonton Noodle Soup and the noodle part of the wonton was white, thick, sticky and pasty. The long noodles were thick, white and pasty as well. The whole dish was super starchy, under cooked and everything was stuck together like one big piece...yuck! For wonton noodle soup, Cantonese restaurants use the thin, dark colored chow mein noodle - not thick rice noodles! The wontons were poor quality and not fully cooked. The broth was poor tasting as well and very watery. The spring rolls I ordered came from a grocery store box and the vegetable filling was all soggy and flavorless. These new owners have no idea how to prep or cook food! Take my advice, don't be cheap! Hire 2 good, experienced Cantonese chef/cooks and let them run the kitchen because honestly this food is not even edible or else the restaurant will not stay open long. Looks like I'm going to bed hungry tonight. I...
Read moreI walked in to Broadway Chinese this evening and ordered a medium wor wonton soup with extra broccoli to go as I was planning to eat it at my friend's place down the street. I opened the take out and unfortunatly ate a few bites before I decided to pull out a peice of broccoli with my fingers. Thank God I look at my food before I eat it because there was what appeared to be a big juicy maggot attached to the stem of this broccoli pulled from my soup. Needless to say, I lost my appitiete and on closer inspection of the soup I also found a hair. I have reported this to Coast health. I recomend avoiding Broadway Chinese until they learn about food safe/standards and cleanliness. I blame myself a little as I knew I was in trouble when I saw the state of the bathroom/kitchen but being as hungry as I was and in a rush I ignored my gut and suffered for the rest of the evening as a result. WORST TAKE OUT...
Read moreHusband ordered food from here (we had ordered from this place a long time ago and weren't impressed, but wanted to give it a second chance). Ordered lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork and crispy noodles with beef and broccoli. Lemon chicken was awful, very battery, low quality type batter. Beef and broccoli was fine but the noodles it came with were cheap, small little pieces and crispy, but not like when you order crispy chow mien from restaurants. They are typically crispy, but also soft so when you mix in all the ingredients there is a good balance of crispy/soft. These felt like the noodles were deep fried so didn't get soft. Sweet and sour pork was nothing special, but decent enough. If you're looking for authentic, good quality Chinese food, I would not recommend this place. There are way better places...
