Around noon today, I happened to pass by this small restaurant, and since I was feeling quite hungry, I noticed they had pictures of lunch bento boxes on their small sign. That was enough to draw me in for a takeaway order. The restaurant itself is tiny, though they added a few artificial bamboo plants to give it a bit of a green touch. Despite it being lunchtime, it wasn’t crowded, with just one staff member attending. I ordered a sashimi bento box. The wait wasn’t long, which was nice. However, as soon as I walked out, I barely got far when I was startled by my entire soup spilling out of the paper bag! It turns out the lid on the complimentary soup wasn’t properly secured, causing the soup to leak and tear a large hole in the bag. Quite the hassle. I ended up having to stop by a nearby Starbucks, got myself a coffee, and finished my bento there. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the bento itself, and the price was reasonable. The salad was organic and crisp, the salmon sashimi was incredibly fresh, and I upgraded the California rolls to brown rice for an extra dollar, which tasted great. The only part I wasn’t fond of was the tuna sashimi—it had a texture reminiscent of unsweetened cotton candy, which I didn’t enjoy. All in all, while the bento was decent, the soup mishap definitely gave me an...

Fresh Sushi, Friendly Service, and Fantastic Value!

I just dined at Namiya Sushi House, and it exceeded all my expectations! The sushi was incredibly fresh, with each bite bursting with flavor. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, rivaling much pricier sushi spots.

The staff was exceptionally friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. A special shoutout to Lili, who was not only attentive but also incredibly accommodating. She went above and beyond to ensure our experience was perfect, adding a personal touch that made our visit even more enjoyable.

What really surprised me was the value for money. Despite the high quality of the food, the prices were very reasonable. It's rare to find such a perfect balance of quality and affordability.

If you're looking for fresh, delicious sushi served with a smile, Namiya Sushi House is the...

Still dreaming about Shizenya‘s VEGAN udon!! 🍃🍜 This Japanese restaurant in Vancouver has a LOT of vegan/vegetarian-friendly food options, and their vegan Tan Tan Udon was definitely my favourite item on the menu. It includes vegan ground beef, spinach, green onion, garlic chips, black sesame, homemade Tan Tan sauce, udon, and creamy broth!! So yum ☺️ WHAT I RECOMMEND + PRICES 👇🏻 1️⃣ Tan Tan Udon ($14.95) - vegan 2️⃣ Geisha Girls Roll ($17.95) - vegetarian 3️⃣ Spinach Gomae ($5.95) - vegetarian 4️⃣ Spicy Agedashi Tofu ($8.25) - vegetarian 5️⃣ Vegan Pumpkin Pudding ($6.95) 6️⃣ Vegan Ice Cream ($6) #fyp #fypシ #fy #trending #vancouver #canada #vancouverfood #vancouverbc #britishcolumbia #food #foodie Vancouver things to do / Vancouver restaurants / Vancouver must visit / Vancouver eats / Vancouver secret spots / Vancouver date ideas / vegetarian food in Vancouver / vegan food in Vancouver / Japanese food in Vancouver

Cute new sushi place with tasty food and great value for money. First impressions: our server was friendly and competent and the space was clean, cozy and bright. Food: The menu has a good selection of standard items along with fun and different specialty rolls. The meal was well priced and ended up being great value for the quality, flavour, and amount of sushi. I ordered a miso, a BC roll and the sockeye salmon aburi oshi - the oshi was especially good and comes highly recommended. We didn't know what to expect from a restaurant that had only been open for a couple of weeks but left feeling full and happy. We will definitely be going back!
