I normally don’t write this kind of reviews but I really wanted to show how pleasant and thankful my visit was at this place. I never had bubble tea before. One day my children asked me they want bubbly tea. They had it with their friends and they really liked it. The problem with them was/is, they do not like to go out! Anyway, I decided to get them some bubble tea. I walked into this store. It was very clean and quite roomy inside. As we’re going through the Covid-19, I examined their follow up to the restrictions. It was well done. Honestly, I never ordered bubble tea before, so obviously I was looking lost. I didn’t know how/what to order. I kids did tell me what they wanted but I felt lost. Immediately, the girl who was taking the order smiled and asked if I needed help, and I needed. She explained the steps of ordering and the sweetness of the percentage, the level of ice, etc. which were important! With her help I managed to finish my orders. She was so sweet! She was so patient with me. I did take a long time figure out what I wanted. I ordered my kids orders and got a recommendation for myself. We had brown sugar bubble tea with tapioca pearls, roasted tea with grass jelly and mangoqq(?). They tasted really nice! My kids say this Chatime makes the best pearls. The right chewiness?. Anyway, I really enjoyed the drink for the first time. Now, I’ll go back once in a while and get special treat to myself. Thanks! Thanks for...
Read moreVery poor the service and experience I met on 7 th August.
My two sons, 9 and 7 years old, always asking me for buying them Chatime drinks. Today I brought them to the shop near Langara College at Cambie st. When my son took one of the drink and put it on the brown cupboard beside the cashier, he dropped it on the floor and broke it carelessly. It spit on the floor, even he didn’t took a sip or insert the straw into the cup.
Feeling so disappointed, I asked the staff, a man and a young lady, if he could have a new cup again. They said it was his own fault and refused. I kept begging and said he was coming here on purpose. I asked why the previous customer, who put the straw into the cup too hard and spit the whole cup of drink on the floor ,could have another new one. They said that was the straw problem or the lid rather than my son’s.
I told them I felt very disappointed and this should not be the service standard. I am writing to express my frustration and asking for an explanation why Chatime is not a children or family friendly place. Money is not my concern. My concern is I have ever bought lots of drinks for the children’s parties and I should have been told this is not for children’s . I definitely tell what I encountered to all the parents groups so that we would buy drinks from other family-friendly chain stores.

Read moreWent there on Wednesday to take advantage of their limited time 2 for 1 special. The wait time/line up was long/slow... I was in and out in about 20ish minutes. I ordered a large Iron Goddess Lychee with Sago, Chocolate Malt Milk Tea, Peachy lychee, and strawberry smoothie, 4 drinks total. The staff lady at the front almost got my order wrong because the register said Chatime signature milk tea instead of the Chocolate malt milk tea so i had to correct her. Her accent was strong which made it a little hard to understand her so there was some miscommunication (not really a fault of hers of course.) When i got my drinks she put 4 large drinks in a small plastic bag and the bag broke on my walk home, spilling my drinks. Good thing the strong vacuum sealed plastic covers on the top lids saved them from spilling! She should have put 2 drinks in each bag or double bagged it or something. I probably should have requested that but she should have known the small plastic bag cant carry the weight of 4 large drinks. The Iron goddess milk tea was kind of bland so i wont order that again but the chocolate malt milk tea tasted pretty good. The Peachy lychee and strawberry smoothie also tasted pretty good but a little too...
