What a delightful find! Elysees Cafe, nestled within the Alliance Française Vancouver on Cambie Street, is a beautiful, open space that clearly prioritizes creativity and innovation. Opened in 2024, it perfectly embodies what a modern cafe should be, offering a unique blend of handcrafted coffee and pastries with French and Mexican flavors, all presented with an artistic vision. I enjoyed a pleasant 20-minute walk from home to the cafe for lunch on a beautiful day. Arriving around 11:45 AM, the place was bustling! I weaved through busy patio tables to reach the counter inside. The staff, despite the lunch hour rush, were wonderfully efficient and friendly. I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk and their hearty Bowl de Provence--a delicious salad featuring farro, egg, and potato. I seemed to be in the mood for all things green that day! On my way out, I grabbed a croissant to-go, which made for a perfect snack during my walk home. While I can't speak to the parking situation firsthand, I did notice street parking available on Cambie, as well as potential free street parking in nearby residential areas (just be mindful of permit restrictions). I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of their enticing food options and specialty coffees or teas!

Update: came again and this time tried: - breakfast croissant sandwich with avocado and bacon - so good!! And big! - tomato soup - simple but delicious. - almond croissant (again because it's just too good!) - rice crispies cookie - it tastes exactly like rice crispies...which was both weird and yummy haha Came on the weekend - what a beautiful space with delightful food! We had the lunch special (sandwich and salad for $15). The ham and butter sandwich was good! I wish the baguette had more of a typical baguette texture (looking at you Small Victory!) - but at least didn't destroy the top of my mouth like it normally would 😂. Salad was spot on with balsamic and onions. Then for dessert we had: Chocolate orange cupcake - so good! I was worried it would be too sweet with so much icing but it wasn't! The orange flavor was so nice too! Moist chocolate cake with a slightly orange-y jammy centre. Almond Croissant - so good! Think it would be even better heated up. Big too! We also had an Americano and decaf caramel macchiato - both perfect! Service was kind and helpful! Cafe was clean and bright. You could see them making the pastries and cakes right in front of you! We will definitely be back! Just wish they were open later!

Elysees Cafe & Bakery is one of those places that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. The space feels open and welcoming, filled with natural light and a relaxed atmosphere that’s perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet coffee on your own. The pastry display is a showstopper—every dessert looks like it belongs in a magazine. From the delicate fruit tarts and layered cakes to the perfectly flaky croissants, each item is crafted with real skill and care. The flavors are balanced, never too sweet, and the textures are spot on—light, creamy, buttery, and crisp where they should be. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the recipes and presentation. Beyond the pastries, they also offer a good selection of drinks and even wine, cider, and cocktails, which makes the place feel versatile—great for a morning pastry and latte, but also nice for an afternoon treat or casual evening out. The staff are friendly, attentive, and keep the vibe welcoming without being overbearing. Overall, this is more than just a café—it feels like a little community spot where quality, atmosphere, and service come together. Every visit leaves a great impression
