I found their logo unique and since they offer vegan food, I decided we should try them for lunch. We arrived shortly after lunch, three of their six lunch options were already sold out. We chose BBQ Soy Curls Sandwich. They were custom made to order. The sandwiches came steaming hot and were good. This was the first time I had 'stewed' soy curls. I usually don't order anything with BBQ sauce, as most vegan BBQ sauces contain garlic. I was very relieved that the soy curls tasted garlic free – or at least it didn't cause a reaction. But I am not a fan of oven-reheated focaccia (vs MerryChef heated) as the crust gets too crunchy to eat comfortably. We also ordered a vegan croissant – and I liked the croissant better than the ones made by To Live For Vegan Bakery. All the breads are made in house and I saw that they have bakery size ovens in the kitchen. We also ordered coffee drinks, although the drinks tasted good—with beans from Prototype Coffee small batch Roasters—I didn't like that they were served in water glasses instead of proper cups and saucers. The place was quiet but felt more like a cafeteria. For the home made food and croissants, we visited again and the second time, soy curl sandwiches were not on the menu. Instead we tried the Breakfast Bagel. They are really good bakers. The croissant is still excellent. The bagel is good even though we are not bagel people. I found the sour dough hot cross bun and blueberry muffin too sweet. By now, we've tasted 80% of the lunch options. The mushroom toast is my favourite. I also tried the hummus with olives on toast. It is made without garlic—because they don't like the garlic after taste either. Yay! I had high hopes for the weekend brunch waffles, but we were more than disappointed that the waffles tasted like they were lifeless and reheated. The stewed strawberries were almost like frozen strawberries but not as soft. While we were consuming the sweet waffles, we saw the savory waffle option being delivered, and they definitely look a lot...

Sandwich: their mushroom sandwich is so satisfying and flavourful! When I want something lighter, I’d go with the smoked carrot sandwich (smoked carrot may sound like a new thing to some people but it’s surprisingly delicious) They also bake their own bread, which is available for purchase, and it’s also used for their sandwich :) you can tell the difference!
Pastries: I highly recommend the chocolate espresso hazelnut cake! To be honest I couldn’t finish the whole piece bcuz it’s a bit too heavy for me, but it won’t change the fact that it’s so good! Perhaps it’s better to share it with a friend. Definitely bringing a friend with me next time.
Matcha oat latte: they use high quality matcha! Definitely Not the kind you can find in most coffee shops. I think this coffee shop uses high quality ingredients for all of their food/drinks, very appreciated.
Service: very friendly, they remember their regular customers. I can tell they pay attention to details; they’d never make your coffee taste worse than usual no matter how busy they are, they like to make sure everything is perfect.
They are also not the type that tell you they’re about to close 20 minutes prior to closing😅you can still be their last minute customer, or be the annoying type who’d still try to order coffee even after the shop is closed…(maybe not the best thing to do but you get what I mean) It’s not just a random nice coffee shop, it’s a coffee shop with high quality food, service, filled with passion and you can feel that you’re so welcomed here. Anyways.. you can tell this cafe is really not just above average but way more than that… hope it always remains this way.
Vibe: very relaxed, plenty of seats available. Washroom: always clean Parking: lots of free parking at residential area. Very closed by. Price:...
Read moreEverything about this place was fantastic! The staff was all really friendly with a sense of humour, the aesthetic was modern, clean, and comfortable, with real plants on all the tables, and the food and drink was delicious. Greens & feta waffles: The vegan feta (I don't know if they make their own or buy it from someone else, but it was really good, creamy with a very accurate feta flavour) and sriracha maple syrup would have made this a good dish even if it had been made with plain waffles, but the spice and scallions in the waffles elevated this from "good" to "cannot believe how good this is". The waffles were made to order so it was a bit of a wait, but it was absolutely worth it. I am going to be thinking about these waffles for a while! Chocolate tart: The ganache filling was decadently creamy and silky. Just as delicious as the filling was the tart base, which was like a dense but soft chocolate cake. Mocha einspanner: Very chocolatey and not too sweet. Perfect contrast between the warm mocha shot and cool cream top. Other notes: Everything is vegan, good amount of seating (a little busy but not crowded Saturday afternoon), a lot of tables have outlets (not sure about wifi), there are several single-stall washrooms shared with...
