I've ordered from here before and have been pleased with the taste of all of their dishes. For Christmas this year, I wanted to order a lobster. I was told that the lobster was $20/lb and they would charge for cooking it separately. Noodle was extra too, but it was $1 more. I pre-ordered it and asked for a 2 to 2.5lb lobster. On Christmas day, I came to pick it up and was shocked that the price was over $95 for the lobster. My head is still reeling over this. Even if the lobster was $40 to $50, I was charged the same for having it cooked which is strange. I understand it was a special order and they don't stock lobsters in the restaurant. They would have to acquire it from a seafood provider then prepare it.

Update: It was a pricey lobster but it was very well prepared. The green onion and ginger sauce was delicious and the Yee Mein at the bottom was good too. My recommendation is to charge $100 for a lobster with noodles. Don't even mention the labor. When asked how big the lobster is, say its about 2lb. That way, there's no misunderstanding or...

This was our go to place for years, they were the best, and we loved it. Always so friendly, generous portions, excellent food, throwing in a couple extra wontons here, and bonus egg roll there. When we heard it changed owners we were hesitant, but cautiously optimistic. We ordered all our favorites. BBQ pork fried rice, beef and bean on crispy noodle, tender beef with special sauce. My god it was awful. The tender beef was minced burger, not slices, the bbq pork was mostly chunks of fat, the crispy noodle was mush. everything was swimming in onions, even though we asked for no onions as I can't really eat them (not an allergy, just an intolerance). They didn't really care when we complained either. Just an "Oh, that's too bad." It cost us almost 80$ and we tossed most of it in the trash. I am so sad, and will never order from here again. If you ever ordered from here before and got a good meal, those days are DONE! Look elsewhere! Chu Kiang is dead and gone. Mourn them and find...

Food is mediocre at best. I only order here when I’m really hungry and too lazy to drive from home. Usually never finish what I’ve ordered because it’s either flavourless or just not appetizing. Oh and whatever you do don’t bother ordering anything with “mixed” vegetables because all you’ll get is 90% broccol! They’re literally ripping off their customers! UPDATE: It's nice to see an establishment responding to complaints but this is perhaps the 5th time I've picked up food and appreciate the kind lady behind the counter and what seems to be her husband in the background doing the cooking. Unfortunately the same problem persist - way too much broccoli being used for their "mixed" vegetables and flavorless taste on most of their dishes. One reviewer hit the nail on the head when he/she mentioned the taste is more geared towards Western customers. Pity, because I...

Was disappointing. $65 worth of food and there was only fat and gristle in the pork ribs. We did not eat the chicken wings as they tasted like old fryer grease. Got chop suey which was great because there was lots of broccoli - although was some unknown pieces of things we did not eat because we were not sure. Just be sure to get chicken breast or something that’s not a lower quality cut of meat, so that way you get an edible order. Very disappointed and was hoping for more to perhaps order from them more often. Guess not this one. Give them a try someday if you want - it seems some others had an ok experience, but just maybe ask them what a good dish is instead of picking them if “you just want some Chinese food tonight”. My dinner was a complete flop.

You won't find an egg tofu dish better than how Chu Kiang does it! Been ordering from here for years and finally decided to dine in, best decision I've made all month. The staff is super friendly and would give recommendations on what to order. Their dishes were great on delivery but it's way better having it fresh. I can't recommend this place enough, please do yourself a favor and order the "eggplant with egg tofu & shredded pork" and a large bowl of rice!

Ordered through Uber Eats. Beef with Tomatoes was $18.50 - tasty but I wished it had more beef. Seafood Fried Rice was $17.90 - typical fried rice Pineapple Sweet and Sour Boneless Pork was $17.95 - it was disappointing. Overal dry and tasted like frozen food. Meat portion was good but very little vegetables and sauce was too generic as well.
