Donair Dude — Restaurant in Vancouver

So i used to shop here alot due to my own schedule it has been a long time since my proper visit.

The old team was perfect, the current night team makes me not wanting ever come back.

The ladies take orders and wonder around, they do not understand customers normal talking, they are in another universe, without checking money, they just ask me that I pay less, then she checked and was like okay. Thats the basic common sense of customer service. And then they are eating while making another food ready, on floor there were food leftovers, people left and chairs were unorganised, the staff were just walking around in the back. I ordered drink with my food, i had to ask them to give it to me and the staff response “yea”

I understand its 10pm and staff are tired but its not 2 minute before closing.

Another customer made an order and asked when will it be ready, they said 5minutes, he came back and then they started his order because they never ask what he wants in his donair.

I cam another night at 11pm and out of gravy, i was like okay but i checked with another donair and said if gravy is out, they can prepare it again. But not in this store.

Food quality is perfect but not...

Kind of weird. Was really in the mood for a classic Donair Dude donair. Used Google maps and found this location which I've never been to before. They had a lot of different dishes than other locations however the prices are pretty high. They know it as well because an employee saw me looking at the menu and unprovoked she began to explain that they use grass fed beef that is why the price is high. I ordered the $15 beef pita wrap anyway because I was very hungry and didn't want to bother going somewhere else. When they asked what veggies I wanted, I started with "lettuce" to which the employee corrected me by saying "cabbage". Huh? No lettuce at a donair place....ok give me the cabbage then 🤷 when I started eating the donair I noticed that the beef was diced up even smaller than the veggies! It looked like cat food. I don't know how this place can be under the donair dude name when it's this different. Maybe some of their other food is good?? I don't know but personally I won't be back. Staff relatively friendly though.

Update: I think all Donair Dudes have switch to cabbage now.... What the heck! Ruins it for me. I won't be going to Donair Dude again until they get...

This Donair Dude location has become one of my go-to spots for a quick, satisfying meal. One thing that really stands out is how clean the store is. Every time I visit, the counters, tables, and even the sauce station are spotless. I’ve also never seen a single fly or fruit gnat here — which is honestly rare for a place that deals with fresh ingredients and open toppings. Major bonus points for hygiene!

The portions are generous, especially the chicken. I always order the chicken wrap or plate, and they never skimp on the meat. It’s always juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. You definitely get good value for the price.

The service is also worth mentioning. There’s a young lady who often works at the front — she’s super friendly and always greets customers with a warm smile. She’s patient when I take forever choosing sauces, and she makes the whole experience more enjoyable.
