A book, a cup of coffee, and an afternoon in June in Vancouver. That’s pure happiness for me. There’s something incredibly special about taking the time to immerse myself in a good book while sipping on a freshly brewed cup of coffee. In June, the weather in Vancouver is usually lovely, with warm sunshine and a gentle breeze that makes the surroundings feel even more inviting. The vibrant greenery of the parks and the colorful flowers in bloom create a picturesque setting that enhances the overall experience. The atmosphere around me is lively yet tranquil, striking a perfect balance that allows one to relax while still feeling connected to the world. I can hear the soft chatter of people enjoying their day nearby, but it doesn’t intrude on my peaceful moment. Additionally, the fact that there’s parking available right at the sideway makes it so convenient for me to visit this wonderful spot. I can easily come and go without the stress of searching for a place to park. This combination of elements—a good book, a comforting drink, and a perfect environment—truly encapsulates what happiness means to me in this...
Read moreA 3.5 rating overall. A good place to work or to grab a quick coffee. Coffee was good with their own in-house brand/roast - not bitter nor overly roasted. The cost of coffee starts at $3. They have baked goods offerings and also some limited hot food items. The breky sandwich was more of a snack sized item at $7 and was ok (just wished there was more of it and maybe less calculated looking). The grilled cheese at $7.85 was underwhelming unfortunately despite having housemade ketchup. The presentation and maybe adding some stand out feature/colour/flavour could help. They do also offer other goods for sale here (i.e books). The service was mediocre - maybe because it was busy but it didn't feel as personal/friendly as...

It's not exactly the most scenic, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you're looking for a place with great atmosphere. But if you're in the area and looking for a fantastic cup of coffee, look not further. While Beaucoup bakery just down the street offers plenty of phenomenol baked goods, Elysian is really the place to go for your coffee (they do sell some delicious treats as well).
The baristas here know what they are doing. You can expect a really good coffee, regardless of what you order. My go-to in a cappuccino, and they always nail it. One of the baristas is also an artist, who can make...
