Just ordered an XL Bacon and Mushroom Pizza. The website describes this as having: Sliced bacon, sliced mushrooms, bacon bits, tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese. So first off, it has a LOT of really nice fresh hand cut mushrooms. I mean a LOT. Great! Decent amount of cheese. Not too much. Not too little. Didn't see or taste a lot of tomato sauce and the bacon was a hint of ground bacon sparingly distributed across the 16" crust. Now I wasn't expecting a sourdough crust but something was decidedly sour going on there, and not in a good way. More like a rancid dishcloth way. Trying very hard not to be too harsh because the guy on the phone and the delivery guy were both such pleasant and friendly to deal with but to be brutally honest, if this is truly, "THE BEST PIZZA ON THE DRIVE!" as they advertise, I feel very sorry for the folks in that area. Very sorry.

Something strange is going on at Fire Pizza. I ordered a spicy mushroom pizza and was billed $24.14. Near the cash register hangs an announcement that 9 slices of pizza costs $ 20. The pizza I ordered has 8 slices. How can this be? I asked the cashier. He told me that 9 pieces are given from the display case and these pieces lie there for about an hour. Those. does he mean he sells old pizza slices for less? He also said that fresh pizza made especially for the client is more expensive. But why do pizza places like Freshslice Pizza and Little Caesars Pizza make fresh pizza for customers at no extra cost? I felt that I was deceived and did not get any pleasure from the pizza. I don't want to go there anymore and I don't recommend anyone to buy pizza there.

The first time I went, I had an amazing service. There was no gluten-free pizza made, but the gentleman said he'd whip it up real quick. Let me pick the 2 flavors (only bummer is that there are only 3 options for the gluten-free pizza. They need more). Pizza came hot and delicious. The second time, the pizza was already made and then put in the warmer. Didn't get hot enough. I should have asked for more time, but I had to get going. Ended up chucking half of my food because it didn't taste as good. I'd rather wait to 15 minutes to get fresh pizza than to have half warmed up food.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.

They owners/management are extremely rude and their pizza is hit or miss.

I have ordered from these guys (delivery) 3 time, had one decent experience but I will never do it again.

1st time I ordered delivery from these guys it was because it was late and they were the only place near me that was open.

The guy on the phone (same one I talked to all 3 times) got mad at me like 30 seconds into the call for asking him what the most popular 3 pizzas were.

Basically he said "I'm busy and I don't have time to advise you what pizza to get, either order a pizza or I am hanging up on you and you can call back when you figure out what you want".

When the pizza came it was actually pretty good/hot - so I didn't let his rudeness deter me from ordering a 2nd time.

2nd time I called a lady answered the phone and when I told her I wanted to order delivery, she asked me to hold for a second and then she put me on the phone with the same rude guy with the "jersey shore" accent that I had talked to the first time; same attitude and tone.

I ordered the exact same thing and It only took 40 minutes to arrive, but for some reason this time the pizza was luke warm. I didn't bother complaining.

The 3rd time I called I ordered the same pizza again, but this time I ordered a desert. When the delivery guy from uber eats (or one of those companies) I asked him where the desert was, he said it was inside the box.

I was confused so I told him to wait while I looked in the box.

When I opened the box the pizza was luke warm again, and the desert was sitting in the middle of the pizza on styrofoam plate wrapped in plastic that was half melted.

I thought was really weird that the styrofoam had melted because the pizza was not very hot/luke warm again.

I realized after words that if the pizza had been as hot as it should be that the thin styrofoam plate and plastic wrap would have melted into the pizza.

I showed the delivery guy how cold the pizza was and he agreed that it was way to cold.

He also told me that their company always gets complaints about Fire Pizza putting styrofoam plates with deserts/etc. directly on the pizza inside the pizza box, instead of in a separate bag. He said it's definitely a common thing for them to do.

I called them up and "Jersey shore" answered again, he said that they were really sorry, that a brand new employee did that by accident (which was a lie) and it wouldn't happen again.

I then told him that the driver agreed with me that the pizza was also cold.

Then he started to yell - saying "STOP COMPLAINING IT'S 1 AM" , or give the pizza back to the driver.

The driver regularly delivers food to me from other restaurants I order from, he was very apologetic and very embarrassed about how cold the pizza was - and that they had put other food inside the box.

Now its 1:30 AM Monday morning and its to late for me to order from anywhere else and I am so hungry - I HATE THAT GUY AND HIS FAKE JERSEY SHORE ACCENT HE'S BEEN DEVELOPING SINCE CHILDHOOD.

Just because a guy has grandparents who came from Italy, it doesn't mean that he has to talk like he's from Jersey shore. Someone needs to let this guy know that geography is what determines someone's accent, not what country your...

Fire pizza has the absolute best toppings, best service, and is very much a pizza staple on the drive.

The guy that owns the shop is absolutely killing it, in his service and his manner. This pizza place is open late and he is always there during those 2am rushes when they are absolutely slammed with customers. I love the consistency, and I love that it's clear he cares about his food and his business.

I am intolerant to gluten and I usually get the gluten-free Honey Garlic Pork pizza. This pizza is absolutely the best late night meal a gal or pal could ever hope for. The gluten free crust has great texture and good ingredients and I have to give real kudos to this guy for taking the time to produce a genuinely good gluten free pizza crust at a decent price. The sauce on the Honey Garlic Pork pizza is to die for, and the perfect combination of sweet and savoury. I've never had anything like it before finding this pizza place.

They have awesome by-the-slice, cheap options. Check out their website menu to see all the delicious flavour combos they offer. Its a cool, fun atmosphere. If you're ever in the Commercial Drive area, especially if you're looking for a late-night pizza joint for after the bars close, Fire Pizza is a MUST visit!

Mostly good pizza. Sadly the service has gone downhill since the new owners took over from the awesome German couple that owned it previously.

The pizza was excellent before.

Fire Pizza is still always packed because of the reputation it gained over the years with its last owners who really cared about quality and good customer service.

The new owners are control freaks. Go in on a weekend and see for yourself.

Their staff are very friendly and have smiles on their faces when they are allowed to serve you some pizza. That is not very often as the owners can’t step back and let their staff do their jobs.

The owners are often so stressed out and unfriendly that it is having a huge impact on the customers experience.

The guy gets angry even if you ask a question. To be fair the wife is really friendly mostly but she also gets very stressed on weekends.

My advice, stick to the business side of things and let your staff do their jobs. Maybe then they might actually like working...
