Freshslice Pizza (Broadway-City Hall SkyTrain Station) — Restaurant in Vancouver

I recently visited the Freshslice store at Broadway CityHall Station on March 6, 2025, at 7:24 PM , and had an incredibly disappointing experience with an employee named Shaksham. I ordered a Veg XL pizza, but when I received it, I discovered that the pizza included a few non-veg slices, which is completely against my religious beliefs.

When I pointed out this issue, instead of apologizing or offering a solution, Shaksham became argumentative. His response was dismissive, and he started displaying a negative attitude. To make matters worse, he said, "You can do whatever you want, but nothing will happen. I’m an employee from the Headquarter; you can’t do anything to me."

This attitude was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful. I was hoping for a simple resolution to a mistake that could have been easily rectified, but instead, I was met with hostility. I expect better customer service, especially when a customer’s religious beliefs are involved. I hope the management addresses this issue and ensures that employees are better trained to handle such situations with respect and professionalism. I will never recommend that place from now...

Heading home from a rehearsal, peckish but not starving looking for an afternoon snack before getting home for the full on dinner. 2 minutes til my train I ran in for a slice!

This type of pizza makes me somewhat nostalgic for the £1 pizza my mum used to buy us in Upton park after swimming. Thick base closer to the thick Turkish bread or naan, doughy, gooey, yummy and cosy.

I bought a Hawaiian pizza and there was plenty of ham and juicy pineapples. There tomato sauce is slightly conservative creating a slightly dry moment in the mouth but nothing I’m mad about!

Service was quick. I was in and out in one minute. Caught my train with a minute to spare and felt like the interaction with the staff was genuine and quick.

I was greeted at the front counter by a friendly lady named Navneet. She had the biggest and kindest smile, and was happy to help me. When I arrived, I noticed they were sold out of the meat lovers pizza. I asked her if they had any more on the way, and she excitedly told me that she can bake me a fresh one in 3 minutes! I was so happy to hear that. She took so much care, pride and joy in making my experience an unforgettable one. I really appreciate her going out of her way to put an entire pizza in the oven just for me wanting to buy one slice! Navneet has amazing customer service skills and a genuine, unforgettable smile.
