I wonder if this location may have changed ownership - I constantly get poor service now. Wait 10 minutes just to pick up a pizza that should have been ready 10 minutes ago, and there are usually 4-5 staff standing behind the counter not serving anyone while there is a line of 4-5 people waiting to be served. Half the time the staff are telling the other staff what to do - which pizza is which persons, how to bring it up at the till etc, but half the time the staff are chatting amongst themselves. I also ask for a sauce drizzle every time I order online, and it’s never on there, so I have to ask again each time. I even started putting it as a special instruction as well, but it still gets missed. Even the quality of the food isn’t as good now - I can see them take it out of the oven while I’m waiting, but it somehow doesn’t taste super fresh anymore.
This store used to be great, but I find myself disappointed coming here now. I hope they can get it together, new management or not - it was my favourite pizza shop in the neighbourhood for years, but I’m not sure I’ll continue coming here if I keep having the same experiences.
EDIT: Changing to 1 star instead of 2. I just tried to use a coupon from freshslice’s own app, and the cashier didn’t understand how to get it to work - or should I say he didn’t bother to try. Told me to scan (after the card machine was already getting me to pay) and then said “no, doesn’t work, full price”. I tried to explain that it was their own app and that I wanted the discounted price, and that there was even a code he could enter if the QR code didn’t work, but he again said “doesn’t work, full price”. Read moreToday(12(18/2024) at 8:30 AM, I ordered a half & half pizza through Uber Eats from this Freshslice location, expecting the same quality and service I’ve always enjoyed from other locations. Unfortunately, what I received at 9:30 AM was completely wrong.
Hoping to resolve the issue, I called the store and spoke with Roop, who handled the call. Instead of owning up to their mistake, Roop immediately blamed Uber Eats, saying it wasn’t their fault. Even worse, Roop mentioned that the manager, Harikiranth, had instructed them to claim it’s a "third-party application issue" rather than admitting that someone in the store clearly failed to read and prepare the order correctly.
The lack of accountability and professionalism here is astonishing. Harikiranth, as the manager, has completely failed at his job. It’s his responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues, but all I got were excuses and blame-shifting.
Customer care was absolutely zero. Mistakes happen, but a responsible business owns them and makes things right for its customers. Freshslice, you need to do better. Passing the blame onto others only makes the situation worse, and this experience has left me thoroughly...
Read moreTruly terrible experience. Ordered a pizza directly from the store at 6.26pm. This never arrived so I called at 7.19 and they said they would call back. I get a call back at 7.22 saying they will send a new one. I called back at 8 because it never arrived. The driver then called saying he couldn't find my house and read back an incorrect address and then told me to look outside for it. I called the store again and he came a few minutes later. The pizza was so cold I'm talking not room temperature but cold. I suspect somehow it was the pizza I originally ordered at 6.26. I called the store again and the person on the phone advised they couldn't do refunds and her manager would call me the following day. I also noticed my order was $10 more directly from the store than if I ordered on doordash, yet I ordered anyway as I was trying to support a local business/franchise.
Tldr: if you order from here, better to order from doordash as they will actually show up.
Update: I was starving so I had a slice of cold pizza. Woke up a few hours later with food poisoning :( Still have not heard from...
