I ordered delivery through skip the dishes and am utterly disappointed with the quality and taste of the food. I ordered $60 and some change worth of food. Appetizer sashimi (tuna/salmon) in addition to a toro sashimi dish. Quality is unacceptable. Firstly I cannot tell which is toro and which is tuna. Secondly, why is the fish stringy and separating? I’ll tell you why… cause it’s not fresh. I’m surprised this place is still open. Where’s health Canada? This can’t be safe for consumption. Yes there’s an inherent risk when consuming raw foods, but this is just negligence! Then I ordered other rolls that appeared to have the same fish in it. Would not recommend.

Samurai Sushi was good, portion wise I got a lot for what I paid for, even took some home. Quality of the sushi is also not bad, the sushi rolls felt different though, the rice felt a bit mushy or maybe too sticky. Service was not bad, not rude, not friendly, just neutral. In a way I felt like another transaction. The layout of the restaurant is like an L shape, quite small, not a lot of tables. I feel Samurai Sushi is more like a take out kind of place.

I guess inflation is hitting every restaurant hard. This is definitely not the portion I am used to at samurai sushi. I can't blame them since every other restaurant has either increased their prices or decreased their portion sizes. This portion is still decent comparing it to other sushi restaurants so that's a plus.

Fantastic Sushi Experience at Samurai Sushi on Fraser!

Samurai Sushi on Fraser is a true gem in Vancouver! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff are incredibly welcoming and efficient, making sure you have a great dining experience from start to finish.

The sushi here is absolutely top-notch. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently excellent. Whether you're a fan of classic rolls like the California Roll or more adventurous options like the Spicy Scallop Roll, there's something for everyone. The fish is always fresh, and the flavors are perfectly balanced.

One of the standout features of Samurai Sushi is the value for money. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the large portion sizes. It's a great spot for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends and family. The service is fast, so you won't have to wait long to enjoy your meal.

Overall, Samurai Sushi on Fraser offers a delightful combination of delicious food, friendly service, and great value. It's a must-visit for sushi lovers in Vancouver. Highly recommended!

Ordered a party tray (asked if I can swap tuna roll with cucumber roll instead which I don’t see why not since cucumber was cheaper than tuna) and chopped scallop roll through DoorDash. Got my delivery and my order was wrong (I got one piece nigiri instead of chopped scallop roll and they never replaced the tuna roll) I called in about it and the lady on the phone sounded persistent she didn’t do anything wrong and that she tried to call twice to DoorDash to try and let me know they can’t modify party tray. I never received a call from DoorDash nor the restaurant. Normally the restaurant will call me directly if there is an issue with my order on DoorDash before proceeding with the order. (Even has an option on the app to call me directly if there’s an issue with order notes) If I knew I would have cancelled the the order completely and made a different order to include cucumber roll. Anyway I won’t be ordering here again.

Note: my toddler just got out of a flu and was craving cucumber roll which I was happy to order for him since it was rough week trying to feed him. It’s too bad we didn’t get it tho. My partner only wanted a scallop roll which he...

Used to be good value for the price, but recently raise the price of most items by $1.50-$2.50. Makes a big difference. I ordered the Maki combos and spider roll. Rolls are cut irregularly; some are sliced 1.5 inches thick, some are 1 inch, some aren't really sliced completely to break apart. Of course some rolls just fall apart completely (same as previously), but now rolls seemed more sloppily made).

You still get 5% off for ordering 1 hour ahead and 10% off for 1 day ahead. When I went to pick up the order, the lady rang it up as total price, -10%, but taxed on the total original price (which was not the quote I was given on the phone). I told the lady, who told what seemed like the owner or manager gentleman. He brushed it off and told me just to look at the bill. I could have argued more, but knew it wouldn't have made a difference for a few cents. Just a principle of the matter. Also thought better to write a review and likely Samurai...
