Okay I tried many sushi places but this one was very frustrating ordered via doordash. The issue was not only portion but also taste! I ordered almost 70$ meal and it was almost enough for 1 person.

Black dragon roll is the only one I almost liked but that doesn't worth with 12.95$ price tag while same taste is in sushi7 with rock'n'roll as 5$ ! Or sushi ville will have more options for that price with better taste.

Rice was almost like a seperated from each other and can't even hold with the sticks. Kingsgate roll the worst one, onion at the top, raw onion the worst combination with sushi.

Katsu Don, 25 gr of fried pork at the top of a whole bowl of rice, I would rather get another sushi instead!

Last but not least, the only reason I had to try here was okonomiyaki, if you ever tried that somewhere else you will find this one as a fake and plain version of an okonomiyaki, I felt like it was a prepared store product.

And really, if you ever tried t&t prepared products and I don't ever like them because they are not even close to any sushi store until this one.. Congratulations t&t sushi, definitely better and worthier than a sushi place for the first time which is hime sushi especially when the price and taste considered together. I highly recommend trying sushi 7 for half of hime sushi's price with better ingredients other than only rice. Or sushi ville they have amazing options but they don't have brown rice, that's why I go with sushi7 mostly. I chose this one for okonomiyaki but that was disaster... I'm full now, but only with rice and no taste in my mouth or happiness at all.

Oh by the way, it is obvious this delivery is at least 2-3 people they put only 2 little soy sauce with only 1 tea spoon of wasabi. Luckily I had my own wasabi that I bought from a store.

They still use plastic bowl and tray, there was also recyclable 2 boxes, so half&half...

Normally I share photos of the foods when sharing my experience with everyone, but I didn't even want to do this as I don't believe if it was good for your eye sight. I believed the photos in the Google maps, but it's not only about how it looks, it's about what they put in it. Just imagine by this, In a normal sushi if it is 30% and 70% rice, in here, 99% rice, 1% other...

Ordered the toro and salmon battera, the sashimi and nigiri combo and the kingsgate roll. Probably the worst battera I’ve ever had. What an embarrassment to Vancouver sushi. The amount of fish on top was less than most places to begin with, and it sat dry with not a lot of sauce on top of incredibly dense and improperly seasoned rice. Way too much rice with only green onion in the middle, unlike other places that put more fish. We ate only half the rice in each piece and still couldn’t taste the toro or salmon on top, which was also overcooked because of how thin the fish was. For $12, I would much rather go to Green Leaf for their oshi. I actually felt sick after eating that much rice.

The sashimi combo was almost $20 but tasted like food court sushi. How can the cost be so high when they include cheap tamago, octopus, and ebi nigiri as 3 of the 7 nigiri? The sashimi was also very thinly sliced (one was half a centimetre thick lol!), but thankfully were not too frozen like other cheap sushi places.

Lastly, the kingsgate roll was such a weird combination. The thick slices of raw onion slathered in mayo on top did not work well with the unagi roll topped with salmon. The onion flavour was way too strong and there was not a lot inside the roll for $12. I was appalled to see our bill was $60 for two people. Their 4.2 star rating is a joke. I think Vancouver has forgotten what good sushi is supposed...

I have been waiting for the 99 bus outside this restaurant for a few years now and looking at their menu while waiting. I have been very interested in their All Day Special menu, which offers a decent range of dishes at the price of $16.95 for three.

Two of us ordered two All Day Special that each came with a miso soup. The miso was good but rather salty. That could be why I found some of the dishes were bland. We had the following six items:

  1. Takotaki. I used to live in Japan and haven’t really had good Takotaki in Vancouver yet. This one was average, but no complaint.

  2. Deep fried pork dumplings. Again not bad but I think the dumplings were over fried. Like occasionally when you order fries, you get fries that are almost brown.

  3. Beef Udon Soup. I love Udon but the beef and soup were but fairly bland. Not bad but not good either. It could be the miso soup I had before this was too salty.

  4. Shiitake Mushroom Avocado Rolls. This was quite good, except the rice kept falling apart and dropping from my chopsticks. I would not mind ordering this again.

  5. Spicy Pumpkin Rolls. I would say this is the best dish among the six. Pumpkin was slightly fried so it added a nice crunchy texture to the rice and seaweed. If I come again, I would ordered this again.

  6. Spicy Tuna Rolls. This was standard.

People who ran/ worked there were Chinese. The servers were quite helpful...
