Took a Sahi paneer take out, I ordered regular non spicy, the food was spicy and even the food tasted absolute garbage, just a waste of money, even they didn’t gave any complimentary naan or rice, earlier they used to, but the receptionist refused now stating nothing is complimentary, it’s not a big issue, but the main issue is with the food, it’s a waste of money and time to go there, it tasted like a yellow dal instead of sahi paneer, pretty shameful. I am adding pictures of the owners reply on my review, they are try to pretend I wrote a fake review that’s pretty shameful that they don’t apologize for their mistakes, that’s disgusting, as well as I am adding picture of my transaction so that clearly that it was a real visit, but the shop owner trying to run away from their mistake, the food was terrible, I never step back in their so called restaurant after having that experience, that sahi paneer tasted like a c grade...
Read moreCame here of the raving reviews and left incredibly disappointed.. First the customer service was lack luster, a girl with barley enough energy, looked she just did not want to be there in her attitude (she wasnt rude, or not nice, just not someone for customer service)
The food was flat and salty (like something from a sauce bottle, purchased from the grocery store) I asked the spicy and it was bland. Flavour not cooked in and just can tell the poor skills in cooking.
The price, don’t be fooled by the menu, the rice was $8 dollars additional for a regular size!! We left thinking maybe this is just Vancouver standard now sadly..but a week later tried another Indian restaurant (in whiterock tho) and it was amaaazzzing super authentic flavors, large portions and came with rice and you could taste the amazing spices.
So it led me wondering the legitimacy of the previous reviews now..so...

The sauces were delicious and I used my fingers to dip the pita bread to scrape up any sauce remaining. The chicken curry seemed overpriced for quantity served, but the lamb was just right. I will definitely try more Indian restaurants just to compare them as curry is one of my favorites. Throughout our entire lunch there were no other diners. Not sure if that says anything, but the male person behind the cashier/waitress seemed unhappy about something. Service...
