We came here because of the high reviews but unfortunately we would not give this place a 4.9 star review Overall the staff is wonderful and nice, the owner was very sweet and came around to say hi. The food took forever to come. We ordered at 6pm, the appetizer pakoras came at 6:20, it was okay just bland and didn’t taste very fresh. For dinner we ordered vegetable biryani, pulao, butter chicken spicy, coconut curry chicken medium, and another butter chicken medium. From time of order to arrival of the dinner was about 50 mins for just 3 of us. The servers were sweet and there were only 4 total full tables, 2 servers which was fine. But I think they’re low staffed in the kitchen. Servers kept waiting at the kitchen window for everyone’s foods. The food was a 3/5. Definitely better places for Indian food so it was just okay. The flavours were a little bland and not enough spices. Could be a lot better. The rices were good though. Overall giving it a 3/5 ! Unfortunately I would not come here again, but I don’t regret trying it! Just some improvements and they’d do great. Everyone is really nice!

After six months of anticipation, my friend and I finally visited this restaurant, only to find our expectations slightly unmet. It’s not to say the food was bad—far from it—but its appeal leans heavily towards palates familiar with South Indian flavors. The chicken curry, for instance, was infused with coconut-based flavors, a hallmark of South Indian cuisine that might not resonate as strongly with those accustomed to North Indian dishes. The food is undeniably good and incredibly affordable. However, for those craving the robust, hearty notes of Delhi or Punjabi-style cuisine, I’d recommend exploring KRSMA, located just up the road near 37th Street. That said, this restaurant is a gem for anyone with an affinity for South Indian flavors. It’s also likely to delight international diners or anyone open to exploring diverse culinary traditions. In essence, while the cuisine here might not cater perfectly to every regional palate, it’s a worthy spot for affordable, well-prepared South Indian fare.

Namaste 🙏🏼 The food was absolutely divine, the service was exceptional. I enjoyed speaking a little Hindi and practiced the little amount of Punjabi my dear friend taught me with the co owner. A husband and wife and what I presume is their lovely daughter. I’m sure the other staff are executive level chefs as well. A must for foodies as well they are exceptional customer service pioneers. They have a beautiful restaurant and very clean and a calming energy. I ordered a couple things on the menu and was throughly impressed. I felt very welcomed. I am a mix of different backgrounds, but felt right at home. This is what I love about culture and travel through cuisine and the fusion of tastes from across the globe, there’s so much comfort in each bite at Nirvana. Also the kachumber salad is sooo tasty! I couldn’t stop digging in that I got full with my butter chicken. I look forward to trying other more traditional dishes. 15/10!

As a foodie with high standards—especially when it comes to Indian cuisine—it's tough to impress me. Most of the time, I find that I can cook better at home. But Nirvana changed that for me. From the moment you take your first bite, you’re instantly transported back to the comforts of home, where the balance of spices is just perfect—not overpowering, but harmonious in a way that feels genuine and authentic.

The dishes here aren’t just food; they’re made with love, and it’s evident in every bite. The chefs take pride in their art & the service shows the sams level of dedication.

Though the prices may be slightly higher than some other Indian restaurants, the quality of ingredients used is undeniably worth it. You can even see the attention to detail in places most people might overlook—like the cleanliness of the washroom, where you’ll find premium soap, not the usual mass-market brand.

I frequently go to Nirvana, and I have yet to be disappointed. Every visit has been a delightful experience, both in flavor and in service. If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend the Malai Kofta, Chicken Korma, Dal Makhni, Lacha Paratha, and Tandoori Roti. These dishes are some of my personal favorites, and they truly showcase the heart and soul of the restaurant.

Nirvana is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. Whether you’re a seasoned lover of Indian food or a newcomer, it’s a place that always delivers,...

We just had Nirvana cater our staff event where we ordered food to feed over 120 colleagues. The service was incredible. We had several dietary restrictions and the restaurant made separate batches so that everyone could enjoy lunch. On day one of the event we forgot to purchase cutlery. Nirvana to the rescue. I phoned and asked if it was possible to add cutlery to the order, immediately they said no problem. They provided plates and individually wrapped cutlery sets. These were a charge to our order but the thought that was put into what they packed was incredible. The food was delicious. We had 120 colleagues enjoy lunch over two days and the only question we got was where is the food from? And the only comments we heard were yum and this is amazing. We had multiple colleagues take second helpings and further compliment the choice of food and the establishment that was chosen. Continue to support local. Businesses like Nirvana are one more reason that we are a world class foodie city. Thank you for a wonderful...
