First time ordering take out there and also on a very busy Mother's Day evening. This is not a long term review, or even a normal evening so bear that in mind. I ordered a variety of dishes to try. Oshi Salmon was pretty good as was the chopped scallop roll. The House roll seems like a larger typical california roll and was good but nothing too exciting. The assorted tempura had good variety but the batter was closer to fish and chips batter and somewhat heavy and greasy. Nearby Kimu has better tempura and even Dami a few steps down has better tempura. The BBQ squid was not very good as it was very over-cooked (think rubber-tires) and yet did not have sear, burn marks or charred taste characteristics of BBQ or grilling. The salmon and tuna sashimi had thick generous slices. The salmon was fine but the tuna had many dark streaks within the flesh so I grilled them just to be safe. The Oyako Don was not typical in that they used a fair bit of mung bean vermicelli, which I guess is more healthy than all white rice, but is a bit unexpected. Taste OK though a bit more vegetables would be nice (I counted 1 piece of broccoli and lots of onions) but no cabbage or other greens. Finally, although the lady said the order would be ready in 30 minutes it actually took about 55 minutes! It would have been better if they made everyone wait outside (just like Kopitiam Malaysia) and have them just check in at the door way instead of too many people cramming into the front of the restaurant waiting for their orders (imagine a bunch of drivers from Uber, Funtuan, Skip and Door Dash and multiple call in orders waiting). They can call out ready orders at the door to be picked up and no one need get crammed into a indoor space. As already mentioned, this is my first time and on an unusually busy Mother's day evening, so I will probably try other dishes another day and provide a...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this restaurant regularly and usually enjoy the food and service. But during a visit today, I bit into a small, sharp piece of fingernail in my kimbap, which was honestly really shocking and upsetting. The server was kind and apologetic, but didn’t really know what happened and couldn’t explain anything until I asked. I still don’t know how this even happened, because no clear explanation was ever given to me.
At first, the server offered 50% off the kimbap, which didn’t feel right at all given what happened. I told them I wasn’t going to pay for that item, and they only took it off the bill after that. I paid for the other item I ordered.
What bothered me the most was that the manager never came out to talk to me, apologize, and explain what had happened. It felt like no one was actually taking responsibility for something this serious. It made me question how much they care about hygiene, how they handle customer complaints, and whether the management is willing to own up to...

While they already had a 5 star rating, I want to expand my review. The food has gotten better and more consistent. It's currently my wife and I's favourite sushi spot, and frankly one of the best in the area both in quality and price. Their salmon is consistently tasty. Would highly recommend to try. Especially their sashimi!

I used to love iSushi, and the owners changed. It's a bit different, but still great. The fish has always been tasty, but the rice is a bit different than most sushi places I've been. While different, it still tastes quite good. They've kept the prices the same, and frankly quality and service has been good. They also still have gluten-free soy sauce and options.
My wife and I went during the grand opening, and multiple times since. They've definitely listened to customer feedback and have improved their food. The servers are very kind and so are the chefs! I hope they stay in business. Their Korean food is also...
