This place should really be a lot busier. I think people tend to pass by because it looks like a fancy place, almost like a fancy ski lodge restaurant with their multiple fireplaces and wood everything. It’s a really large space and there’s a garden/fountain in the middle. As the other reviewers have said, it is cluttered in areas. You can definitely tell it’s a family business with the pictures of their kids on the fireplace mantel. I don’t mind the clutter but this place would be amazing if it was cleaned up. The price is typical Kitsilano pricing. I got an omelet with gluten free toast for $12.50 and it was very good, the coffee is very good as well. I come often because they serve good food and is close to the beach. I also love that I’m buying from a family business.

Arrived to an empty cafe with music coming from the kitchen. The staff were having a nice sing along and we surprised them with a "hello"! It's filled with kitschy Chinese/canadian deco. Nice water feature tinkling in the background. We had our pick of tables after ordering and paying at the counter. The food was a nice size portions with fresh looking ingredients. The whole grain toast was house made and very tasty. Overall, a nice quiet breakfast spot, I think most of the business is lunch, so it wasn't noisy like some breakfast places are. Prices are reasonable. I recommend you give it a try.... it survived the pandemic so it must be good!

My food was standard, the basic ham and cheese omelette, it tasted fine. Things start to add up if you want anything else added to your omelette, this is becoming regular lately at all restaurants. I was confused when I walked in as whether to sit or you order at the till, it was the later. Menu is on a chalkboard, old prices have been taped over with new pricing. My omelette with fresh squeezed orange juice and side avocado with tip was over 30 dollars. The atmosphere is a mish mash of furniture, art, plants, nick knacks etc. $$

Me, my mother and my boyfriend went to Juliet’s for the second time and we were so sad when we left. My mother was the first to order, she just wanted a tea misto with oat milk, the cashier understood tea misto and oatmeal. Both my mom and the cashier didn't speak the best English so the mistake happened but my mom paid happily for her tea. Fast forward to when the server came with the oatmeal we said that we didn't order it but we were going to talk to the the cashier later about it. We went to the cashier (an older guy probably the owner) and said “hi, so I think there was a misunderstanding ...” he started to shout at us, saying that the food was made and it was going to waste (we didn't eat it), and we needed to pay more attention about things. My mom said she didn't understand English very well to which he responded “ if you don't understand go ask somebody to help you! You can't go running around alone doing this to businesses.” We were so shocked by the guy's reaction to it, that we didn't even finish our sentence as he was attacking us. He proceeded to say “you want your money? I'll give it to you, but it's not fair! You shouldn't do this to business” And he gave the money back to us. My mom who is 61 btw felt so bad and said sorry, the guy didn't even reply to it. I have never been so mistreated in a restaurant before, the guy was misogynistic toward me and my mom that we were embarrassed and just left. All that for 7 dollars. I don't recommend this place at all, and I hope someone fixes the owner's customer service abilities. I'm only giving 1 star because we...

had an awful experience because of service. an older man who works there completely forgot that i ordered and paid for food. when i approached him to check if my food was coming, he claimed he didn’t remember me and that i haven’t paid. when i showed him the receipt on my phone, he apologized and gave me a free muffin which i thought was nice of him. everything was fine until my bacon was served to the wrong table and when i told the server that the bacon is actually mine she took it from that table and put it on mine instead of making a new one for me (which is what you’re supposed to do in this situation). later that old man approached that table and confronted them for not speaking up when they received the bacon they didn’t order, except it wasn’t their fault and they were just confused. he was later seen yelling at them again and when they were defending themselves he said he doesn’t wanna speak to them. i thought that was way too aggressive and i wanted to stand up for them. i pulled him aside on my way out and and told him i also work at a restaurant, and mistakes are common, but it’s unacceptable to lash out on your customers and take 0 accountability for your mistakes. (i said that in a much nicer way btw). he completely ignored me and walked away. i have never seen such awful service and abuse at a restaurant. this was unacceptable and i feel so bad for our neighbouring table. i will...

Food is so-so. But the main issue is with the guy working as cashier. He was REALLY rude to one of us due to a mistake while ordering. My friend ordered a tea with oat milk and she had trouble expressing it properly (her English is not the strongest). The cashier understood she wanted a tea and an oat meal. We got the oat meal at the table, said we hadn't ordered it and went back to the cashier to ask for a refund. She got her money back, but not without listening that "she couldn't go around businesses ordering things like that". The cashier guy said: "If you don't understand something, you ask for help before ordering. I asked you 5 times if you wanted an oat meal and you said yes all 5 times". Dude, we are CUSTOMERS. How about assisting your customers when you notice they're having trouble to undesrtand what you say? Besides, you run a business in VANCOUVER. A town flooded with tourists from all over the world who happen not to be native English speakers. As a business runner, I would say you lack a bit of vision when it comes to the big picture. No wonder the place was empty but it still took us 20 minutes only to order. Just a heads up: it's not the customers who ruin a business, it's the...
