Konak Bar & Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Vancouver

As a Turk, I am longing for Turkish food. And finally, we found that quality place that suits our taste. We really liked it. We ordered Sac kavurma, Beyti kebab and Lahmacun. They were all delicious but sac kavurma was definitely the star of these three. It was a dish that got more delicious as you ate it. Before going here, I was saying whether there would be rice with the kebab. Because if you are from Adana, you will understand my comment. :) Because when you change cities, these kinds of dishes change their variations. Anyway, the rice with sac kavurma was so good, it was delicious. Then, that yogurt that came with beyti kebab, the texture of that yogurt was incredible!!! , They really make both the yogurt and ayran themselves. If they made and sold it, I would definitely buy it, it was yummy. We will definitely come again. I expect them to enter Ubereats and Doordash as soon as possible. Tonight, I happened to stop by this restaurant by chance. As soon as I entered, I was struck by the unbearably loud music, and I had to stand at the entrance for a few minutes until someone finally came over. We asked for a table for two, and after being seated, we waited for about 20 minutes with no attention from the staff—no menus, no water, nothing. We just sat there in that overwhelming noise, completely ignored. The staff were all gathered in one corner, seemingly uninterested in the guests.

Eventually, we got up and left. Even as we passed by the staff on our way out, none of them seemed to care or even acknowledge us.

The food was delicious and service was super friendly. Had the tripe soup and the Lahmacun. Both were delicious. I’ll definitely be back and looking forward to bringing my family back with me.

I was also at the restaurant while those apparent 1 star reviews happened but they were never at the restaurant, as there was only another couple and a family at the restaurant while I was there. It’s a too bad people go out of their way to give fake 1 star reviews to a new restaurant they never visited.

I highly recommend this restaurant and the super friendly staff. Looking forward to coming back with more friends and family.
