Our book club meeting lunch was Turkish food. It was perfect: the location, the food, and the service. The yufka flatbread was paper thin, perfect to wrap the shared ezme (a spread made with onions, tomatoes, cucumber and peppers with olive oil, pomegranate molasses and red pepper flakes - so good!) and eggplant puree (ooh, that smoky flavour 👍). We also shared the mixed kebab platter - it was my first time to taste Adana (a minced lamb kebab mixed with spices 👍); the chicken and lamb kebab meat were grilled and seasoned perfectly. We ended with Turkish tea. Every part of our meal was enjoyed and we stayed for 3 hours without feeling any pressure to leave (also, it was an early lunch so the restaurant was empty). The server was attentive and personable; the restaurant is spacious, great for family get-togethers or events. Parking is free or 2 hours in the surrounding neighborhood. We will definitely be back to try more from the menu! Wishing the new management...

I had an amazing experience at Meet and Eat Restaurant in Vancouver! I ordered the lahmacun and the Adana kebab, and both were absolutely delicious. The lahmacun was perfectly baked with a thin, crispy base and just the right balance of spices and toppings. The Adana kebab was juicy, full of authentic flavor, and paired beautifully with the sides — one of the best I’ve had outside of Turkey.
The service was just as impressive as the food. Everything came out fresh, and the attention to detail was clear in every dish. What made the visit even more special was the owner, Gokhan. He was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming — you could really feel his passion for food and hospitality. It created a wonderful atmosphere that made me feel right at home.

Read moreI’m Turkish, and I’ve been searching for a truly authentic Turkish restaurant in Vancouver for the past eight years. Finally, I’ve found it.
From the first bite, I could tell this place is the real deal. The flavors, the spices, the texture.. everything tastes exactly like home. I have a pretty refined palate when it comes to Turkish cuisine, and I can confidently say this is the most authentic spot in the city. The meat is tender, the bread is fresh, and even the small details like the ayran and tea are done right. and pide, OMG!!
The service is warm and genuine, just like in Turkey. You can feel that they care about what they serve and who they serve it to. The servers asked if we needed anything else for maybe 20 times!! so kind!
If you’ve been craving real Turkish food, not the westernized version, this is the place. I’m so glad I finally found a restaurant that captures the true soul of...
