I've eaten here a few dozen times over the last couple years, and while the staff has always been unfriendly, the food used to be pretty good for the price. With each visit, however, the portions keep getting smaller and smaller. Last time I was there a few days ago, they put about a tablespoon of guac on my beef wrap. That's a fraction of the nice dollop they used to add. I mentioned it, and the fellow literally added about another half a teaspoon. It was like he was portioning out the last bowl of guac on Earth. It was so little I couldn't help but chuckle a little.
When he handed me the wrap, it was maybe 2/3rd the size they were even a few months ago. I politely mentioned this fact, and all the staff just looked at me. Not one of them said a word. No effort to address my concerns. Just staring. The contempt they had for a repeat customer really caught me off guard. I shook my head, paid, sat down, and took a bite. There was so little filling, it just tasted like a mouthful of wrap.
A disappointing turn for what was once my go-to place to eat on Granville Island. I'll be finding a new place to go for lunch...
Read moreI ordered the taco salad with beef. The beef is ground meat , it looks like it should be eaten with spaghetti not to be given on a taco or salad. The server didn't even know the order of the items to put in the salad he forgot the lettuce. They should have mild salsa for customer to chose it, since the salsa and guacamole were so spicy. The other issue I noticed is the attitude of the people behind the counter. Really bad customer service. I paid almost $15 for a small taco salad and it went to the garbage it was too spicy I think it was the guacamole as well. They put a lot a beans. And as said the beef was really bad the consistency and the flavor. I hope more people can share their experiences. They need to improve a...
Read moreLa Tortilleria is located inside the Granville Island food court. Caution be careful when you eat outside the food court. Those birds 🦅 can be very aggressive.
I got the shredded chicken Taco salad with all the trimmings. I can imagine the line up being very long here, however I lucked out in the morning.
The only down side is the service. I have encountered a rude person at the cashier a few times. But then again the food worker makes up for it. Nothing brings more joy than workers who love to socialize with babies and kids. Keeps the little ones engaged and to eat your vegetables to be strong like him 💪🏻
I haven’t tried the other items but my Taco salad with chicken add on has always been my...
