I am a frequent user of this bridge because it provides a unique experience to see English Bay with its beautiful views and perspectives of the beaches, tall buildings, marine traffic, Granville Island and False Creek Harbour areas..there is a wide pathway for runners or walkers and a protected bike path..quite a number of restaurants are within walking distance..strolling along the Burrard Street Bridge once again to explore some downtown shops and eat a lunch at Maxine’s cafe and bar..what a pure visual...
Read moreI’ve crossed the Burrard Street Bridge into downtown by foot a few times, and I love the walk across, especially on a sunny day. The pedestrian paths are more than wide enough to accommodate foot traffic to comfortably go both directions, and the views are stunning even when viewed through the grated —I always pause along the way to enjoy the surrounding cityscapes, False Creek, and English Bay as a reminder to not take any of it for granted. I’m so happy they City installed protected the bicycle paths in 2009, and have remained in place; I’d love to ride...
