The Burrard Street Bridge is more than just concrete and steel; it's the heartstring connecting Downtown Vancouver to Kitsilano, and a constant source of effortless urban beauty. Every time I cross it, or admire it from a far, I'm reminded of why I love this city!

The bridge's architecture, its sweeping lines and the distinctive jade-green patina, makes it instantly recognizable and wonderfully timeless. It’s an iconic piece of history that feels simultaneously grand and welcoming.

But the real magic lies in the views. From the pedestrian and bike paths, you get a postcard-perfect panorama: False Creek shimmering below, the bustling Granville Island to the east, and the stunning backdrop of the North Shore Mountains standing guard. It’s a moment of calm and scale—a chance to pause, take a deep breath, and soak in the best of Vancouver's water, mountains, and cityscape.

It’s an essential, beautiful, and utterly charming part of the Vancouver experience. A solid 5...

The Burrard St. Bridge is a major pathway to and from Downtown Vancouver. I am a frequent user of this bridge because it provides a unique experience to see English Bay with its beautiful views and perspectives of the beaches, tall buildings, marine traffic, Granville Island and False Creek Harbour areas..there is a wide pathway for runners or walkers and a protected bike path..quite a number of restaurants are within walking distance..strolling along the Burrard Street Bridge once again to explore some downtown shops and eat a lunch at Maxine’s cafe and bar..what a pure visual...

I’ve crossed the Burrard Street Bridge into downtown by foot a few times, and I love the walk across, especially on a sunny day. The pedestrian paths are more than wide enough to accommodate foot traffic to comfortably go both directions, and the views are stunning even when viewed through the grated —I always pause along the way to enjoy the surrounding cityscapes, False Creek, and English Bay as a reminder to not take any of it for granted. I’m so happy they City installed protected the bicycle paths in 2009, and have remained in place; I’d love to ride...

Yay, another bridge review! What to say about Burrard Street Bridge? It is the most beautiful of all three we have across the False Creek. It has the uniquely designed towers. The views of the marinas, Granville Island, and the English Bay are very nice. This bridge has a dedicated bike lane each way, which many cyclists use to get across. I use this bridge quite often, not because of the design or other features I mentioned, but simply because of it’s proximity to my destination. Well, it’s a decent bridge and it does its job really well, so five stars for now.
