The food here is excellent – fresh, great flavours, generous portions. I’ve been eating here for years now; it has always been a favourite of mine, but the current owners distinguish themselves for the care they with the spices, sauces, and flavour accents on the dishes. The sides are simple, but tasty and made with care. They’re even picky about the rice they serve, and it’s just long grain white rice. And I have to say, it does seem tastier...
It’s not easy to make a simple side salad of chunky onion, iceberg lettuce, and tomato into something you want more of, but the sprinkling of herbs and dressing on this side makes all the difference. I had the lamb curry yesterday and it was rich and tasty; the lamb tender and boneless.
The prices have increased since the recent expansion to the neighbouring space, but the quality of the food is still excellent.
I normally have either the beef or lamb kebabs or the beef or lamb curries. It’s a family-run business, still attempting to bootstrap itself, and work out the kinks, so I can understand a few of the crankier reviews here. However: the owners have always been cordial and good to us, and when we chat with them, they clearly care about the food.
There are lots of hole in the wall kebab/shawarma places in town, and if you only care about cheap you can eat anywhere. But if you want good food, made by people who care about how things taste, then...

My Experience: I ordered Lamb biryani, they took order for it then later they told me that they have 80% Lamb and they will add 20% Chicken for the order. Or They asked me another option to change it to Chicken Biryani. I said fine for Chicken Biryani. There were one table already with a local couple and another Asian girl came after me ordered and had some small dish. The guy who happened to take my order looks young, may be 2nd son of the owner. He served the girl with water but he ignored me then i happen to choke cause of oil and masala mix in the food, but not sure the reason why he ignore me to give Water. I am done with my Food, I went to the owner to give feedback that please give water for everyone, not only selected people. Owner replied me that i have to buy water bottle but i showed her the rest of the table got water in glass, infact the guy gave water to the girl but ignored me. May be the race. I don't normally complain but when it comes to treating people without equality, i get really pissed off.
They need to be thought about treat everyone equally. Surely i wont go back until they change their attitude.
In Simple, Ok Food but Poor Service. Felt like got ignored because of...
Read moreThe beef kabob wrap with hot sauce is to die for. The flavored naan is the best (one that starts with a Z is incredible try it) its all baked in the tandoori oven to order (don't be in a hurry it takes time to cook). I have taken a lot of people here and they all love it. The tandoori chicken is so tender and tasty one of the best I have had as a lot of places its too dry (I'm Indian and eat a lot of this type of food). The green hot sauce I wish they sold it, so good. The owner is a great guy. Any old reviews were for the old owner. You may not want to eat in so think of it as a take out place :) The price is extremely reasonable and the food is fresh and tasty, you will go back if you eat those two things. I eat there once a week (I work at Langara) and I can honestly say I never get sick of it and look forward to eating their food. I wish they had a nicer restaurant but its the food that brings me back. The owners work long hard days and you can tell they are proud of the quality of the food. Support the good small...
