Overpriced and frequently stocking rotten/mouldy products, like this science experiment in the cheese section. You can also find green steak and chicken depending on the day. Use as a last resort or for pure convenience

This grocery store is in the right place. They have a vast selection of food quality products. The staff are well informed polite and professional. This is the only store within blocks that sells cigarettes.

It's on the smaller side but it's packed with awesome deals and local products. Found this special gem the last time I visited. Tip: Go on the weekends mid-afternoon for free samples!

Ironically, prices at Buy-Low Foods are not low at all. In fact, as other reviewers have pointed out, they’re quite high, especially compared to the various indie grocers nearby; merely glancing at the prices made shopping easier, automatically bypassing each item because the prices didn’t register with my frugality.

The reason I popped in is because I knew I wouldn’t have time to prepare a proper dinner, so I begrudgingly purchased some soup, knowing if I bought something similar elsewhere, I could have saved money. Normally, I wouldn’t even consider shopping at Buy-Low Foods, but desperate times... This visit reinforces my non-consideration to shop here.

There are four or five check-out counters, but only one cashier on duty. The customers at the counter decided to do all their grocery shopping in one visit and had what looked like 40+ items, which from my vantage point, they looked like they had some disputes with several items... it was only after what felt like 15 minutes the cashier finished checking them out and looked at the growing line that she decided to finally call for assistance and another check-out line was opened. I was third in the queue, and I left sooner than the 50+ item couple, who were still struggling to bag their 100+ items.

I don’t want to fault that 500+ item couple—they needed to buy what they bought—but in my only visit coupled with the non-low prices and the check-out experience, it’s an easy decision not to shop here again, even in...

I gave a low rate because the prices are pretty high (especially when you call yourself ‘buy-low’ ) And your price matching policy is the craziest I ever heard!!!. You have so many conditions! Has to be in your flyer?… what’s the point in price matching if you have it on sale? Theres never anything anyone wants to price match that’s in your flyer. Everywhere/every store/every province I’ve been to - never heard of this! Pricematch certain stores maybe sure, but not ‘has to be in our weekly flyer’!!! Makes no sense. People want to price match your expensive prices. Also low rate because I (nicely) pointed out something that’s not right and for the sake of a dollar you should’ve let me have the dollar off as a customer courtesy. It’s not my fault it’s not explained properly in signage. Yes I work in retail -many years- I know what I’m talking about- and as a good customer service I know what should be done. I think management /the cashier who answered me anyway-didn’t get a manager- / should know this. To be fair, the cashiers have always been nice so at least there’s that so that’s the only reason you got any rating. They treat me kindly and I appreciate that. I do not shop here on my way home often because of all this. Too bad because you’re very convenient. I’d be in there a lot. But till those policy’s change, I will go out of my way to superstore because they are cheaper and their price matching...

I get to the store at opening time 0800 hrs 7/31/2020. One of the clerks told me to leave my duffel bag at the counter. I told her absolutely not and will never leave my bag since I have valuables in my bag. and this is the first time Ive been told to leave my bag at the counter and i was told it was store policy. I refused. While I was paying for my stuff, I asked another clerk if this was store policy, she said it was store policy to ask people to leave their bags at the counter due to shoplifting and Covid-19 policies. The manager came to talk to me and told me it was store policy to ask everyone with bags to leave their bags on the counter since there was a lot of shoplfiting going on and due to covid-19 rules. I also did not like the tone of voice of the manager. I asked the manager if I will be refused service if I refused to put my bag on the counter. he could not give me a definite answer. I asked Buy Low Customer service if this was company policy and she said they did not have any such policy. The Buy low customer service was very nice and excellent and give...
