A unique and tasty Korean fusion experience located along Kingsway! 🥪🌭🧇🐓
Came here for lunch on a nice Saturday to try out a few Korean fusion sandwiches for my OMAD meal.
I ordered the following: OMT The One Bulgogi Pizza Dog Croffle Deluxe Strawberry Matcha Latte
Everything tasted hot and fresh! The portions were generous and delicious.
The hot dog was definitely one of my favourites since it was overloaded…I did have to use quite a bit of napkins, but that’s a small price to pay for an overloaded filling dog! 🌭 It’s similar to JapaDog in a sense that it’s western meets Asian style cuisine but I think the portion and price is definitely better here.
The OMT The One was also really good and quite filling as well. The sauces on it were really tasty - it was sweet and tangy.
To top off my meal, I had a Croffle Deluxe for dessert and it definitely did not disappoint. I love the concept of using boba on a waffle with ice cream. 🧇🍦
Pricing was also reasonable if not more affordable than similar establishments.
The interior was nice, clean and cozy with good amount of lighting. The owners/staff were also friendly and provided good customer service.
Parking is fairly easy, you can either park along Kingsway if you can find any free spots or better yet, you can probably park across the street in the London Drugs area - just make sure you don’t get caught hehe 🫣 (if you get a ticket, just walk into London Drugs and buy a lotto ticket with a receipt 😃).
Overall, this is a good spot to try if you’re in the area and craving some unique sandwiches. 🥪
PS: I also love the name of this place. It’s like the Korean drama ‘Oh My Ghost’ which is...
Read moreToday, we ventured into Oh My Toast and Chicken, a delightful Korean restaurant known for its Korean-style sandwiches and noodles. The menu is impressively diverse, offering a wide array of food and drink options, which made choosing a delightful dilemma.
We decided on the beef sandwich and Shin Ramyun, both of which did not disappoint. The beef sandwich was well-prepared, with perfectly seasoned meat that was both tender and flavorful. The Shin Ramyun was equally satisfying, offering that comforting kick of spice that you expect from authentic Korean noodles.
A unique highlight of our visit was witnessing their famed challenge: finishing a super spicy chicken fried rice within 10 minutes. It’s a daunting task, and we were told that only one person had ever successfully completed it. During our visit, we saw a kid taking on this spicy challenge. The rice looked intensely spicy, and we cheered him on, hoping he would conquer it. It added an element of excitement and community to our dining experience.
Oh My Toast and Chicken is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place of culinary adventure and community spirit. Whether you’re in for a casual meal or up for a spicy challenge, it offers a welcoming and lively atmosphere. We definitely plan to return, possibly to try the challenge ourselves, or simply to enjoy more of their delicious offerings in a fun and...
Read moreNO BOTTLED SPARKLING WATER used here. They have a big food grade CO2 tank so the carbontation is next level unlike any other places where they use cheap bottled sparkling water or those tiny weak co2 canisters and its also way more eco friendly. And also, their water is even filtered and clean tasting unlike pho places and 7/11 where they just serve nasty tap water that smells and taste like their old tap (seriously rust and those nasty things builds up in your system). The resturant is extremely clean and employees actually wash their hands! You will be surprised most places dont even wash their hands all day yikes. Definitely try their drinks and toasts combo ( its under $10) but sometimes i just get the drinks because its just amazingly carbonated (reminds my short vacation in Japan) and not to mention they also use Taiwanese( its where bubble tea started) syrup with real fruits in them, they are also locally based here in Vancouver too. Lastly, sorry...
