This pizza is not good. I have eaten at all the top pizza restaurants in vancouver and around the world. The crust is like bread. The bottom has no color. Its like they bake on a low temperature. Best pizza is baked at high temperatures. The pineapple pizza was very average tasting. The pulled pork pizza i had tasted boring and not very flavorful. There is way better pizzerias in vancouver than Papas. I usually go to Pizza garden across the street because they are delicious. Go to Pizza garden and try their crust. Thats real pizza and way more flavorful. I found Papas on google with so many good reviews, that is why i tried it out today. I think many of these positive reviews about Papas is FAKE. Also the people who say Papas has the best pizza... i think they are pizza newbies. This is my honest review. You should listen to my feedback because I have made hundreds of pizzas at home and have been to the best pizzerias. I know what i am talking...

Wow what a place! This pizza is truly phenomenal and unlike any I or my husband have ever had! We loved the variety of pizzas offered and that you could purchase by the slice to make a whole pizza. The ingredients were very fresh and I swear you could taste the love in the handmade dough! The dough was thick but super light and didn't leave a heaviness in your belly and oh how flavorful it was! We tried a different choice for each slice of the eight slices we, eagerly and surprisingly, consumed and let us say, you can't go wrong with any of them! This is a place that not only feeds the belly but the soul as well! If you are looking for an old-fashion pizza diner feel that offers delicious, and I mean delicious pizza, where you are greeted and treated like a friend then this is the place for you. California is waiting for you with open arms! Melody and Cliff...

Went here recently for a couple of slices and was surprised to see just how much it's gone downhill. I think they must have new owners because the pizza is not the same anymore. I've been going here for twenty plus years. They didn't have any spinach and feta, prime rib, artichoke pizza, or any of the specialty pizzas they usually have sitting on the counter. All the people who've been here know what I'm talking about. I got two slices, pepperoni and chorizo. The pepperoni was burned and hardened like a potato chip, the chorizo slice was ok except the crust was hardened from probably sitting around too long. I got a can of pop too which was frozen solid. I don't see this place lasting much longer which is kind of sad because it's been a neighborhood staple for...

Update Review July 2020: Still the best old school pizza with a new school twist. Their gourmet pizzas are quite unique with that nostalgic mouth feel. No Neopolitan tiger crust here and that's a good thing. We ordered their Garden Pizza with spinach, artichokes, olives, tomatoes and ricotta. One of the best vegetarian pizzas around! If you have a pizza craving during this pandemic, get Papa's and you won't be disappointed. Doordash/UberEats/Takeout Best "warmer take out" special in the city. 8 slices from the warmer, $18 tax incld. Nice selection and the pizza is really good! Plenty of toppings on top of a near perfect crust that's not oily not too "bready". A true gem in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood.

Grabbed a slice tonight and watched the check out person punch a tip button before she handed me the terminal. She seemed new and I thought she may have hit “skip” by accident. She didn’t lmao - she hit 10%. The shamelessness with which this happened - in absolutely plain view - makes me think she was trained to process transactions like this. I always tip on take out and I wasn’t gonna spike my cortisol over 36 cents but definitely watch your total closely. And if you’re not given the opportunity to tip, it’s because you’ve already generously done so🙃 -2 ⭐️ for the shadiness 4 ⭐️ for the pizza

This was my first time here and I got a slice of Hawaiian to go. The guy was very nice but seemed to forget my order in the oven (?). It came out looking somewhat burnt, but I didn't say anything since I wasn't sure if it was intentional. Unfortunately it also tasted crispy and burnt, and when I looked through the reviews it seems mine was way browner than the average slice. I wish the person working there would have rectified it instead of just giving it to me. The pizza itself was reasonably good other than the extent of toasting.
