Unique experience with an eclectic mix of food. Firstly you have a Chinese style white flour bao bun which has been sliced in half and toasted. Then the inside I chose was the pork belly, which was served with some interested pickled vegetables.

There is a free appetizer: salty sweet popcorn! It went well with the canned sodas.

The recommended side dish is… Cajun fries? I ordered the combo, which is a bao burger style (delicious and fresh tasting), with a side of your choice (fries, Cajun fries with Parmesan, or a salad), and a canned drink served with a glass of ice. You can upgrade the variations of Coke with a flavour of kombucha. I chose one of the three recommended most popular ones: Pina colada. The others were blood orange and ginger lemonade. And there were another three kombucha flavours. I cannot say I loved the kombucha as it wasn’t as sweet as I would have liked, but I like the mere 30 calories as a tradeoff.

The fries were served with two sauces. I couldn’t place a label on the white sauce, but it was more similar to tartar rather than chipotle. The second sauce was like ketchup. I preferred the fries naked but enjoyed the flavour options. They were pretty good and did go well with the burger.

You order at the till and prepay but they bring your order to you when it is ready, so the server does work for her tip. She also helped me put away my tray when I was done. The rule of no tip if you are standing when ordering shouldn’t apply here. Who am I kidding? I tip in any situation, it seems.

The space is bright and cheery, and narrow. I didn’t notice the music. The decor has a playful vibe. Now if someone would explain why it is called Petite Bao when the Bao isn’t all that small, that would be just great!

The server/cashier/order taker was patient and helpful. She let me know what was popular and suggested what to order. I think her recommendations were spot on. Full marks...

Such an immense pleasure to have tried Petite Bao for the first time. I always wanted to come and I finally did it. The place is so cute with a lot of beautiful and cute decoration over here and over there, I loved so much… The team was really welcoming and smiling. As my first time I mentioned that I’d love some guidance on what to order. I’m the kind to be “gourmand” so I couldn’t resist and went for the combo Bao pork belly with paprika French fried and Parmesan cheese plus the fried chicken buttermilk Bao sandwich and everything was so good so delicious. Let me break it down for you. The pork belly burger was a must to try, the bun is well done puffy at wish and signed with their logo, like the precision to details is insanely great. The pork belly so juicy, so tender, so so good… the sauce was delightful, plus the pinion pickles were adding that acidic touch which made it divine. The fries were excellent, they were served with a delicious and delicate sauce as well. Now the buttermilk fried chicken was delicious too, the coleslaw same same delicious. A big thumbs up for the fried chicken, crusty crunchy juicy and tender, what could have been done better ? Nothing. Also, they have plenty of different Coke, and generally I don’t drink that, but let myself convinced by the Vanilla Coke, like years and years that I didn’t drink that one. Well it fits and match perfectly my meal. I thank you so much for a great lunch that I had, you deserve to be well known by the whole greater Vancouver. I highly and strongly recommend Petite Bao to anyone who want to enjoy and indulge such great food and cuisine :) again thank you...

This place is adorable. A cool looking spot with fun decor that sources their meat from local farms. This is some of the best service I've had in a long time, especially considering you order from a counter and find your own seating. They instantly made me feel welcome, and took very good care of myself, as well as the other guests. For this reason alone I'll be back! I'm not an influencer, far from it, in fact; just in a silly mood, so here's my play by play so you understand why I love it here.

When I walked in, the person at the counter greeted me and helped me through the drool instilling menu with kindness and quick wit. I ordered the impossible bao with a lavender lemon kombucha (they have so many fun flavors). They suggested I get a combo because for $2 extra, I could have fries or a salad. How can you say no to that in this economy?

While I waited for my meal, they asked me to sit down while they brought me lemon water. Since I ordered the vegan option, they asked if I was okay with milk before offering me caramel corn. Before even receiving my food, they'd won me over.

The fries are like Mcdonald's but crispier. Are these the perfect fries?

I love it here.

My bao burger was mouth-watering. Tomato confit made it so the burger didn't get soggy as I brought it home (I was full of fries and popcorn at this point). The flavour was good, it was juicy, the homemade bao was made with love.

Thank you for having me, I will be back to eat the rest of your...
