A nice surprise, decided to try a new pho joint since I had the cravings. The beef broth is super tasty and not oily, they use slightly bigger flat noodles than the ones you'd find at other pho restaurants which I find works quite well with their soup. Very generous meat portions and the amount of noodles and soup for takeout was enough to fill up someone. The shrimp salad rolls are huge and really well priced (if you compare to many other joints). Their chicken banh mi was perfectly grilled and not overly mayo'd Seats were well spaced out to accommodate covid restrictions, plenty of parking in the shared complex, but it gets quite busy making it difficult to navigate in and out. Anyone looking for value and quality should definitely check this place out, especially their shrimp salad rolls Definitely our go to pho joint, now that we are in the hood.

I ordered a Vietnamese noodle with beef slices and beef balls, as well as a spring salad roll for my late lunch. There was a lot of beef slices. The noodles are thick but it gives a special texture in the mouth. The beef broth was not too salty. Unfortunately, there is no special combo for the two items. However, the noodles mention above had a lot of beef slices. As for the spring salad roll, the rolls are tightly wrapped which means the rolls stay intact even after a couple of bites. Additionally, the restaurant has one washroom. When I arrived in the afternoon for a late lunch for dine-in, there was only two other groups of people. This seems like a family owned business as there are only two workers who seem to be the owners as well.

Pho Thai Ha is located in the Killarney Centre on 49th and Elliot in Vancouver. I decided to try this place out because the ratings were pretty good and I’ve been craving banh mi sandwiches again. However, instead of just ordering a banh mi, I also ordered the Garlic Butter Chicken Wings ($12.50). The wings were okay but nothing special. The House Special Viet Sub ($5.50) wasn’t the best that I’ve had. While the baguette was definitely crusty, I found the inside of the bread was almost a bit stale. Also, there really wasn’t much meat in the filling (although the price point does make up for that a bit). The price point here is pretty good but there are better options available nearby.

Good food at a reasonable price. However, when called to order take away I was told they're closing early because of the warm weather. This is absurd. A cheap wall mounted air conditioner costs less than $300 and a really powerful one for a little bit more.

Furthermore, the AC is a business expense. Which also means it's a tax right off. My guess is they weren't busy and decided to close shop and blame it on the warm weather.

Update; Management responds below with a plausible explanation of what really happened. That tells me the employees working there are dishonest. This hasn't been addressed. With social media now, businesses must have honesty and integrity. Morals and ethics would be a refreshing change but that's asking too much.

There's many social media influencers who don't "look" the "part" and a people with a strong presence in social media. As such they're shooting themselves in the foot when they lie.

Moving forward. We can't support a business in good conscience where staff lie about petty things. What else are they going...

We had what we thought was a current menu from their Facebook site (why are they using Facebook in 2022?) but the hours of operation are wrong. Menu said 9pm but they in fact close at 8pm which is about as absurd as closing down the restaurant because it's too warm and they can't afford a two hundred dollar window air conditioner like the other retailers next door.

I think the least this establishment can do is have current hours of operation posted on their "webpage" and remove outdated hours of operation and include current prices. You don't need to hire someone to do that yourself.

Any sensible person knows you can't trust the hours on Google to be accurate as anyone can edit them, maliciously.

It's true, food is quite bland here, but in fairness (a few) other Pho places are bland too but most aren't. If you can't afford to hire good staff and can't even an air con, maybe they should close permanently.

We ended up going to another Pho...
