Awful, terrible food and worse customer service. Old worker with glasses was super rude and totally hostile.
The food was awful, poor quality and salty. I doubt it was clean as my tummy hurt right after. Disgusting. They use sub par quality ingredients.. they use the cheapest cuts possible and the food is obviously just reheated from the day before. Rarely fresh. Owner/cook is not formally trained/educated on the hospitality/restaurant industry.
A total amateur in the food business if he thinks a business being two years old is old enough(10 years plus is a good age for a business) this business is on its way out if its not obvious.. they have no money for interiors, hiring employees or making quality food.
The interior looks like a reception area for a third world country prison. The walls are covered in dark soot and all the furniture is dusty and dirty and cluttered with all kinds of useless junk.
Take my advice and save your money, pick all the other business at the plaza to spend your money at. This place is a waste of money.
All the businesses in the plaza are well illuminated, busy and successful except this one. This place will close within 3 more years. Trust me.
All the other reviews on here are the owners friends he begged to make for him lol. What a loser.
We will take our business...
Read moreUNLESS you're yathatssobomb or some kind of influencer this place is trash. Walked in and there was no menu, and wasn't even offered a menu. It was awkward and barely even acknowledged. The chef i thought had issues communicating because of poor english had an airpod in his ear. It's not for canadian borns that's for sure. There was no labels on any of the food in the warmers. it was a struggle. There was absolutely no care for service and portions were small and didn't meet the meat to rice ratio. Food was mediocre. This must be a place for just their family and friends, it definitely won't last. Even if you can't cook, y'all could cook better than the food that was served blindfolded. It could have just been timing but last I tried to go in there it was the same they seemed unprepared and...
Read moreLucky find while looking for something else, this restoran is covered by stairs at a strip mall in East Van - thank goodness for lots of signs or we would have missed it. Like eateries in the Philippines, the cooked food is behind the counter in warmers for you to 'point' at the 'ulam' what you want. It can be a combo of 2 or more and rice. We had 'laing' (taro leaves in coconut milk), 'beef kaldereta' (beef stew with liver paste), 'dinuguan' (pork in blood stew) and 'Pancit Bisaya' (three kinds of noodles, stir fried) with rice. For dessert we had 'turon' (deep fried spring-roll-wrapped plantain bananas with jackfruit). Portions were generous, place was clean. The 'manong' was pleasant. Would definitely go back again to...
