Had the most horrible experience from their manager Manuel who was working the night we were dining in. Had 3 kids for their Sunday pizza making night and everything was great from the sit down until we got to dessert. We had booked for 445pm to 6pm and had totally understood the time limit for the stay. At about 545pm we had asked our server (who was actually very nice and delightful the whole night) about the dessert that came with the kid’s menu combo. She mentions no problem however about 5 minutes after, we were met with Manuel the manager who rushed to us in a very stern and rude voice that we should have known the time limit was until 6pm and we cannot have the desserts in the restaurant – they will be packed and a bill will be given to us and we have to leave immediately (this was 550pm). This was all said without any rebuttal or response from us. We were left in shock wondering what had happened and why he was so rude as we thought we had a pleasant time and the server never showed any problems with us. We honestly had no problem and totally understand the time limit however what wasn’t warranted was his attitude and method of delivery to a paying customer. We left very confused with kids wondering why they weren’t allowed to have dessert. It was hard to talk to Manuel as he seemed like he was having a bad night and avoided eye contact with us after. Needless to say, if you have children (and if they happen to eat past the time limit- shock), please do yourself a favour and do not come give your hard-earned dollars to this restaurant. We haven’t eaten out that often due to rising costs and thought it would be fun for the children to make pizzas and enjoy their work but this visit has been a rude awakening to spend our dollars elsewhere in the neighborhood. To the owners if you plan to survive with the economic times, please do yourself a favor and speak to the people who you hire. The servers ended up being the brunt of this visit as we left without giving a tip which we felt very bad but needed to send the message to the manager. In effect this manager ended up costing the server her tip – I’m still debating if I should go back and just tip her in cash as I feel horrible about her work environment having to deal with Manuel. Just wanted to mention I did give a chance for their management to contact me but they...

Went for the fixed-price 3-course meal which has pretty much their entire menu to choose from on it! (There are a number of add-on fees depending on what you choose, so you are likely to pay more than the $29 per person).

Bit of a mixed bag food wise - I really enjoyed my West Coast (smoked salmon) flatbread pizza. I think the pizzas in general looked good, and there were a lot of different toppings to choose from. However, the chef's soup we opted for was underseasoned (although we were able to season it ourselves), and the chef's pasta dish (containing a sage garlic cream sauce and brussel sprouts) was a bit bland. It tasted as though each of the ingredients were cooked separately; it wasn't a cohesive dish. The desserts were nice - brownie was good, and it's lovely to have homemade ice cream! The crumble on the apple crumble just consisted of oats, which made it feel more like a breakfast oatmeal type dish - would be good if there was more stuff in the crumble.

It's a nice, quiet, candlelit restaurant, with specials written on a blackboard, which gives it a nice atmosphere.

Make sure if you order a drink during happy hour that you say you're looking to get a happy hour drink. I made the mistake of asking for a pint of lager (being from the UK where only pints or halves are served), trying to get the happy hour lager, when the discount is only for a sleeve of lager (16oz).

Other than that miscommunication (for which I am partly to blame), service was great!

I'd come back for the flatbread pizzas (really enjoyed mine!), but maybe give the...

I ordered takeout from this restaurant tonight. Due to Omicron, I would rather have dinner at home with my family. I ordered:

naturally meaty flatbread rocky margarita flatbread farmers market flatbread chef's feature pasta with chicken mushroom linguine (vegan) penne bolognese roasted cauliflower bites roasted bc mushroom caps with smoked salmon and cream cheese

We liked all of the food above except the roasted bc mushroom caps. why? when we opened the box, there were only 3 small mushrooms. all of us were shocked how small the mushrooms had shrunk and they cost $8.50. It cost $8.50 because it was stuffed filled with smoked salmon and cream cheese, but the size was just crazily small! Unbelievable.

We enjoyed the flatbreads as their crusts were thin and the ingredients were good. The sauces of the pastas were good, but the texture of pastas was too soft. The restaurant had overcooked them indeed.

I personally would recommend the flatbreads to others, but not the pastas (not the restaurant's specialty and which still need a lot of improvement).

The customer service was good. A server who took care of my takeout order was friendly and welcoming.

Parking. Not an issue. There is street parking (paid or free). However, of course I personally don't like to pay and park right on Main Street. I would rather park in the residential area and on a small street and walk to the...

My friend and I are visiting from another province and country. The servers were super warm and friendly. They made us feel welcomed and gave us great tips on what to enjoy in Vancouver. We had a great Friday night with 5 glasses of beers and food. The pizzas we ordered were pesto shrimp, all Canadian, and some meat pizza. However, after we returned to our homes, my friend told me he needed to vomit. I thought perhaps we drank a little too much, but later I needed to vomit as well. Shortly after, being unable to sleep at 4am, we now both have diarrhea, muscle aches, and fevers. We got food poisoning. We suspect it’s the goat cheese or the shrimp (both are on the pesto shrimp pizza). At first I thought the shrimp was fine, but looking back on how green it looked and the “fishy” taste, I want to suspect that was the root cause. My friend did not eat the meat pizza so we know it’s not that. I hope the restaurant owners see this so they can double-check their inventory so no other customers will experience the same fate as us. While my friend and I will be bed-ridden on our vacation, we will be losing some of our precious time. But at the very least, we can prevent that from happening to other potential customers.
