This is the worst Tim Horton's I've been to, and I've been to many. In fact, this is straight up one of the overall worst fast food places I've ever encountered.
I live nearby and prefer to do focus-work at coffee shops, so I end up here often, to my own detriment. It's chronically understaffed by poorly trained employees, which suggests that management here is sorely lacking (I'm not angry at the employees themselves). Customer service is weak at best - staff don't acknowledge new customers when they approach the tills (to the point of ignoring you even when you make eye contact with them), orders are entered and prepared infuriatingly slowly even when there are virtually no customers in the store, and the moment there are 4 or more people waiting in line, things seem to grind to a halt. Staff don't seem to understand simple orders, they struggle to use the POS, and nothing is prepped properly. And to make things worse, it seems clear the store is desperate to cut costs at the patrons' expense - for example, napkins and sleeves are not only hidden away from customers, they're not even offered when coffee or food is served, and if you ask for these basics, the staff seem annoyed. Also, hot tip: sit at a booth or at the big table in the back, because most of the other tables in the restaurant are broken, many so badly that it's unsafe to place hot food or beverages or even electronics on them.
I spent 8+ years working in the service industry, including managerial positions - I have a lot of empathy and patience for these types of situations and I don't complain often for that reason. However, when you do complain, management makes excuses without addressing the actual issues at hand - they don't seem interested in the customer's experience at all, a suspicion which is reinforced by their disinterest in following up with customers after a complaint is (supposedly) dealt with.
Having spent a lot of time here, it appears that there's a steady flow of customers all the way to closing time throughout the week, so while I imagine rent is high (this is a densely populated area of Vancouver, after all), I don't imagine that their costs are so high that those costs aren't being offset by revenues. They not only can but absolutely SHOULD pour some money into hiring more staff, training them properly, and bringing the basic customer experience up to par. And maybe get some decent management while they're at it.
TL;DR - This place stinks. If you're in the area and are desperate for Timmy's, there's one 7 minutes' walk away at Joyce Station - just go...
Read moreThe order took too long even though I had ordered it using the app, then I waited for using the washroom, I used the washroom and still nothing. I asked the supervisor, she asked me to wait. Then she gave me the order after asking my name and stuff. Cold food. My kids were waiting hungry so I drove back 25 - 35 mins. I noticed the order was not correct, there was food item missing. I didn't evenetalk aboitathr food being cold. I only called and spoke with the supervisor for the missing item, she saidsahe isia different supervisor and she just got there and sheo doesn't know anything about this, she asked me to wait, then she came back and again asked me what the issue was, again made me hold, I offered to give her the list of stuff I ordered she cut me off then said I have to wait for one second, then started again talkingabiut she is doing this and that checking all orders...black blah blah... Came back and asked me for the list of the order, I provided it, then she started her repeating again. Then she asked me to hold, when I told her that was frustrated and to just tell me what she is going to do about this she started talking over me, going through all the process she has to do, she had to check all the orders, repeating herself like a broken record. She just wouldn't tell me what she going to do for me, just repeating her what she has to do. I finally got very upset and asked her what her decision is rather than keeping me holding and treating me like this. Finally I hung. Just for a danishi wasn't willing to fight with her anymore. I reported to corporate. Very...
Read more[Real Honest Review] This Tim Hortons used to be very good 2 years ago. Never forgot to put any sauces like the mayo or Mustard on my Turkey Bacon Club sandwich. Also When I ask for a Regular coffee which is a 1 sugar and 1 cream but I replace it with almond milk, it was perfect it never came out like 3 cream 2 sugar and it didn’t taste like pure Milk/cream with a little bit of bitterness of the coffee even when I actually ask for almond milk. It’s funny because I order this stuff Online so there’s no miscommunication and I still get the nice Milky Coffee I never ask for and the no sauce Turkey Bacon Club. I always loved my TBC dry as heck! This Timmies is down right fantastic when it comes to their doo doo service. I’m not even joking though. If you like just PUURE Milk/Cream with a little bit of Coffee even when you ask for 1 sugar 1 splash of almond milk because you’re lactose intolerant and a really dry TBC, no sauce even when you ask for extra sauce this one day, just to see if they finally put that saucy goodness in there.. This is the place to go 5 stars for that. BUUUT hear me out. If you like the chilli it’s kinda nice they can’t ever get it wrong since it’s pre packaged. Here’s the advice. All they need to do is READ WHATS ON THE ORDER. It’s really not that difficult. I can literally hop over make my sandwich or make EVERYONES sandwich by just reading what they want. So simple. BTW If they don’t read this review. I’m taking pictures just to show how real this is. (I’m currently on the toilet because they messed up my order and put dairy...
