I placed an online order this morning for takeout at Ben & Florentine Vaudreuil, with the expectation that my order would be ready at 6:41 AM. However, when I arrived, the restaurant was closed, despite its listed opening hours indicating 6 AM to 3 PM on Wednesdays.
I tried calling the restaurant to confirm, but there was no answer, nor was there an option to leave a message. Upon returning later to check again, I found the door unlocked, but the restaurant appeared empty. Eventually, one of the employees arrived and started unlocking the already unlocked door, visibly surprised to find me waiting inside. When she asked if I had been waiting long, I explained the situation.
It seemed she had stepped out earlier, which is why the doors were locked when I first arrived.
To make matters worse, as I headed home, I realized the hot chocolate s’mores I ordered was missing. This forced me to return to the restaurant yet again to retrieve it.
Overall, this experience was deeply unprofessional and frustrating. The lack of organization and communication wasted a significant amount of my time...

However, at the end, when it was time to pay, the waitress came to give us the machine and we said we would pay cash. She rolled her eyes and when we gave her the money, she put us on the spot and complained that her tip was not good enough. The service was slow, and the restaurant was not full. She made a scene as everyone turned around to see what was going on. Everytime we would add money to the table she would look at our hands asking for more. Very disrespectful to ask for money when the service was not received properly. Pretty disappointing, since it was supposed to be a fun breakfast...
