Trattoria Lanni — Restaurant in Vaudreuil-Dorion

My first time ordering here…the last time as well, it’s too bad. I started off with the appetizers, I was starving and took a big bite into the first meatball… crunched into something round and boney!!!! I guess they make their meatballs with cartilage in it?! And not to mention they were also very dry. The calamari were super rubbery! The deli platter was ok and coming from an Italian I really wasn’t expecting much in mind to begin with but at least make it taste good and fresh. My panini was a deli meat panini, there is a big thick amount of a baguette bread with literally 3 slices of meat..I added more from the deli platter to make it a normal looking amount. I removed the lettuce and 4 watery tomatoes along with bell peppers(never had that in a Italian panini before) this came with French fries that I was happy to dig into(keep in mind I’m hungry) even the fries weren’t even cooked???!!! They were raw in the middle! Long story short, called the restaurant asked to speak to the manager and they told me they were too busy to listen so I had to wait till they closed. I’m unsatisfied, hungry and feel like I wasted my money! Go to La Tratoria in Kirkland for better customer service. Sry...

The food is good, but the service is hit or miss. You shouldn't have to run after a waiter for simple things like filling empty water glasses requesting bread that is normally brought in the beginning or correcting order mistakes. Noticed other tables who arrived after us got prompt service, meanwhile tables such as ours were like the forgotten table and waited and waited. I tried to get his attention for water several times and thought I finally did as he went and picked up the water pitcher. The waiter went around refilling water from table to table in our section and once he reached the table next to ours and filled theirs, he turned and left with the pitcher not even filling our empty glasses, placing it at the bar. It was clear it was still half full, so it's not because it was empty. Clearly, there are regulars or friends who were there and who I assume the waiter must attend to. But leaving the "others" ie/ us nobody's, is not good service. We ended up just paying the bill after the main meal and went elsewhere for coffee and dessert. The atmosphere is nice feels a family restaurant however the food needs more flavour. Everything we ordered was bland we were at this restaurant fir the first time in November, I was very happy with my ceasar salad but my osso bucco was no where close to osso bucco plus the taste was so bland and off the Risotto tasted old and bland. Yesterday we went back to give them another chance still I was disappointed with the flavour, nothing tasted good missing salt, missing flavour everything was bland I tasted my daughter pastes and sauce was as if the chef just opened the sauce box and heated it and pumped it on top of the pasta too watery also. My mother in law veal was dry over cooked and the cream sauce had no flavour, my pizza so disappointing, ordered the same pizza to go for my son to try it , and he told me the same no flavour. The restaurant need renovations the chairs were wobbly and tables are too tight to each other the waiters could not pass through. The service is excellent though. Overall the restaurant had potential but need menue and the chef needs to add flavour to his dishes. I will not...
