So we returned to this place because we had been so charmed by it several years ago when we first went, the food had been delicious and the service had been pleasant.

However on this particular Friday we reserved for a group of 10 it was a special meal The owner’s t-shirt read: “ not my problem “ I don’t care” the owner tossed the plates onto the table. We almost laughed at first as if it was some kind of British comedy like joke… alas no..

He wasn’t busy maybe 2-4 more patrons. We weren’t demanding or loud . We didn’t ask for anything special. He was just so very unpleasant to everyone and downright rude.

No one should ever be served in such a way. ( someone came up to me as we were leaving and whispered that he hadn’t won at the casino table the previous evening)

The food was barely edible. The rice had a funky flavor, folks eating with us didn’t finished their plates , barely touched. The beef tasted like fish. We were unwell the following 24 hours.

The owner removed the plates from as we were eating. - we were there less than an hour The soup was awful. The “meats” not good and questionable. no flavour other than sweet

truly disappointed in our experience.

I urge you to forget this place and go somewhere else. There’s a lot of choice in the area and if you’re gonna feel like a pariah instead of an appreciated client , then i would recommend that you encourage other places with better service and better food.

The restaurant is easily located on boul st charles right next to la belle provence .You get the feeling right away that most people use this restaurant for pick up rather then dining in . the staff seems to be busy even if the place is empty .Our server didn t seem to know what we were trying to order ,probably her first day on the job .Even though we finally put our order through two different people brought the food to us . The plates we ordered were decent and meat was well cooked even though the vegetables didn t taste at all fresh and the mushroom dish didn t have too many mushrooms in it . We ordered green tea that they didnt have and then we were offerd some jasmin tea that came in two small cups and fairly cold . The temperature inside depended on how many people were there but generaly whoever came in stuck to their jackets .We were treaded nicely by the seemingly unknowledgeable staff but we were a little confused by the large and unorganized menu . It could definately be a quick cheap pick up fix for your chinese or thai...

Excellent food. Good portions. Reasonably priced. On-line ordered and I picked up. The on-line ordering was well structured and easy to use. Economically it is best to order the combo for 2. The combo for 2 covered "the basics" that our group (5 people) wanted, then we topped it off with other dishes "a la carte". Our "a la carte" order well surpassed the "combo" prices, but most of our extra dishes were meat-based, so it was to be expected. I wish that the "combo for 2" could be adjusted for combo for 3,4, or 5. Perhaps it can, but I did not see this option. We will definitely make this our new default Chinese take our place! I read other comments about "rude" service. My experience is that language and cultural differences can sometimes be confused with rudeness. My pick-up correspondance at the restaurant was "abrupt", but very appreciative. Being a bilingual Anglo in Montreal it was easy to recognize the trend, it was obvious to see that the abruptness was a language issue and not being rude. Nice family restaurant...
