Chuck's Roadhouse Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Vaughan

STAY FAR AWAY !!!!!!! Went out for dinner tonight with two friends ..One of us has dietary restrictions and ordered grilled chicken breast — a straightforward, simple request. Instead, the waitress brought out a chicken sandwich slathered in mayonnaise. I politely told her this wasn't what we ordered and asked if she could replace it with the grilled chicken breast.

She disappeared to the kitchen, only to return minutes later trying to convince me to accept the sandwich I never ordered. I repeated that I cannot eat a chicken sandwich and requested what we originally asked for. Incredibly, she came back a second time, still trying to push this sandwich on me. And unbelievably, a third time, now with the manager in tow, again insisting I accept the sandwich.

I calmly explained for the third time that I ordered grilled chicken breast — not a sandwich. The situation escalated unnecessarily when the manager became irate, argumentative, and actually threatened to call the police on us — over a sandwich that nobody ordered and nobody ate. It was ridiculous, embarrassing, and completely uncalled for.

By that point, our dinner was obviously ruined. We just wanted to leave. When the bill came, they had the audacity to charge us for the chicken sandwich that was repeatedly rejected and untouched. After insisting they remove it (which they finally did), we were told — with attitude — to never return.

No problem. I wouldn’t come back if you paid me. The manager clearly needs anger management, customer service training, and a refresher on what situations actually warrant calling the police (hint: not a mix-up over grilled chicken).

Disrespectful, hostile, and humiliating....

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at Chuck’s Dufferin was so awful that I feel compelled to warn others. From start to finish, everything about this visit was terrible. First off, the food was absolutely disgusting. The veggie burger and loaded fries was cold, bland, and poorly prepared, as well as the nachos. It was honestly hard to believe this was coming from a place that’s supposed to be known for good food. For the price, the quality was completely unacceptable. But the worst part by far was the attitude and unprofessional behavior of the staff. Our server was rude and dismissive from the moment we walked in. We had to ask multiple times for basic things, and each time we were met with eye rolls and heavy sighs. What really took the cake, however, was how we were treated once we finished our meal. The server and the manager came over repeatedly—literally every 5 minutes—asking us when we were planning to leave, until the last time they came asking us clearly to leave as other customer came to the restaurant. It felt incredibly rude and uncomfortable, like we were being pushed out as soon as we were done eating. We hadn’t even finished our drinks when we were told to leave, with no regard for the fact that we were still talking and enjoying each other’s company. It was clear that they just wanted to turn the table as quickly as possible, showing no respect for us as paying customers. This level of disrespect and poor service is absolutely inexcusable. I will never return to Chuck’s Dufferin, and I strongly recommend others stay away. The food is bad, the staff is rude, and the manager’s behavior was completely unprofessional. Don’t waste your time...

Have been to other locations and have never been disappointed until this location. This is a much smaller restaurant, the music is extremely loud servers have to get close to you to hear your order. Washrooms need to be upgraded. The servers are slower at this location, you have to keep trying to look for your server to get their attention. They are not prompt at removing empty dishes or coming back to ask if we need drink refills or extra napkins etc. I noticed that a few of the female servers touch their hair way to often and then handle the dishes and cups and bring out food. they constantly pull their hair forward over their shoulders or the finger hair curl to the side this was very annoying to watch not only 1 but all 3 of the servers on Saturday Aug 31. Was afraid my food would have a hair in it after watching them constantly touching their hair. Was sitted for about 10 mins before anyone came to take our drink order. and again another 15 minutes to order appetizer. Another table of guests got up and left was tired of waiting. Our server must have been new wasn't familiar with the menu came back twice to confirm what i had ordered. That was a plus best to confirm instead of getting it wrong. The food itself was fresh but not the large portions that I am a customized to from other locations, especially the Klondike Crumble. Definitely will not be returning to the location. This location definitely needs to be reviewed...
