Had lunch there today. The service was good. Timely and friendly. Disappointing that the young lady didn’t come back to our table to ask if we were enjoying our meal and if we needed anything else. Then again, maybe she thought we didn’t want to be disturbed. Tried 2 tables. Both very sticky and had very small surface area. The food was ok. But not overly special. Came out fast enough and was hot. Good quantity. Beer was nice and cold. Parking was terrible do to a social club next door. That’s where everyone was going. Not sure what the attraction was but spaces were taken. The street parking was full as well. The reviews I previously read convinced me to try this place and order the corn beef sandwich. My brother said his roast beef sandwich was tender and tasty. I have had melt in your mouth corn beef sandwiches. This was not melt in your mouth but I have also had worse. Give this place a try and you be the judge. Still worth a decent review. Nothing is perfect and I am pretty fussy. Also try Sumilicious Deli in Scarborough and the Corn Beef Hut on Brant Street in Burlington. You will not be disappointed. To bad Katz Deli is gone. It was the best ever sandwich place.

Tried the Montreal Smoked Meat sammich and fries on a whim for lunch today. Wanted to get a picture for the review but it was so damn tasty it didn't last long enough to charge my phone for the shot.

That's okay though, because I am definitely going to be back. Even though they were super busy, they managed to get my take out order out in under 5 minutes, and the server was a real pro, working the room and the take out counter and taking care of everybody.

The meat itself was tender, juicy and had excellent taste. The honey mustard was fantastic. The bread was basic rye, but it was fresh and held up well.

I'd put this sammich up against Katz's, Schwartz's, or even old school Mains. Not quite Snowdon or Lester's, but I don't have to drive to Montreal for it either.
