I was excited to treat my friends to the woodbridge location. As a south Indian , and so were my friends, nothing passes my criticsl palate. I found the food wasn't bad, nor was it the greatest. . However we ordered madras Coffee on the menu. The waiter confirmed it was south indian filter coffee. We all know what Madras coffee is. When it came , and I neared the end of my cup, I found COFFEE BRU. I have taken a picture of it. Why do you people says it's madras coffee when you use BRU? That's deceiving the public. I know one thing. I will NEVER patronize your location even though I live close by. I'll continue to go to NILGIRIS in scarborough, and drive 45 mins to get to them. They are AUTHENTIC and serve what is true on their menu. Madras coffee/ filter coffee included. The waiter offered to take the price off for the 3 coffees, but I paid for them, and left him a tip. So I will never go back there again...please be honest. How many more customers have you decieved with this BRU scam?
Let me add in response to your answer....that we paid the bill with the credit card and I asked your waiter where tip option was.. He said that was ok, , and clearly said he misunderstood and misspoke about the coffee, i told him madras coffee is filter and he agreed. I will post a picture of the Bru paste at the end of the cup. It was bitter. . I know BRU, again i remind ypu that I am from South India. Also, we left him a 5$ cash tip. What I am saying here is, you should believe the customer. . We know exactly what we were asking for. I am not talking about my first visit and the screaming kids. I am talking about my second visit and this coffee...
Read moreWe ordered ( a family of 8 adults and a kid,) Idli, all different types of dosa.. mysore dosa, paneer dosa, and a few spicy dosas, for our meal. Spicy dosas were spicy as per our expectations. But all types of chutnni, samber were full of spice, which made it difficult to eat for non- spicy dosa eating members. Mushroom bites and cauliflower bites were the appetizers, again full of spice. Dahi vada was non- spicy. Great. Mango lassi was ordered to calm down the spice. One glass had a piece of fungi from mango pulp container. They didn't agree to it, saying it's piece of Coriander or piece of chapaati. Being an adult, I buy mango pulp cans for my home and know very well, when pulp gets mold if the can is not finished within a few days. They didn't charge for that glass, was the compensation, by the server. He didn't provide us owner's contact information upon asking. He said, message will be conveyed though about fungus, excessive spice. Server said it won't happen next time you come. How will he control the spices and hygiene, I don't know.
Decor Theme was "wedding". All wall pictures and decor was beautiful. Ladies Washroom was stinky and having dust all around. Service was good. But only 2 servers who had to literally run to setve, from kitchen to the tables, which was quite unprofessional and inhumane for them. They were clearly overworked. Price was okay, similar to other south Indian restaurants.
Will never go back. Spending more than $250/- and having stomach ache due to excessive spices,...

This time we ordered for a vada curry and a curd rice. And it was even better than our first experience. Loved the pappadum they served with curd rice, we ended up adding 2 extra plates of only that.
A Royal South Indian Experience
This South Indian restaurant is like stepping into a royal wedding! The theme is super unique with big 3D photo frames on the walls showing prince and princess-style scenes, and soft music playing in the background. The whole place has a warm, elegant vibe that really makes it stand out.
We went on a weekend, and even though it was busy, the service was surprisingly fast. Everything came to the table hot and fresh without a long wait.
We ordered for an idly plate and a podi masala dosa. The idlis were soft and fluffy, and the sambhar was full of flavor. There were 3 chutneys and each one tasted great. The podi masala dosa was crispy and had just the right amount of spice; really delicious.
Overall, the food was amazing and the ambience made the experience even better. Definitely a must-visit spot if you love South Indian food or want to try...
