I’ve been to many great Italian restaurants across the GTA but my visit to Bocconcino redefined Italian cuisine for me in Canada. My stay was like a trip to Italy. This restaurant had a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere with gorgeous one-of-a-kind paintings. Both waiters Gino and Juan did an amazing job creating a luxurious Italian experience for the guests. During my stay, everything that was brought out of the kitchen was out of this world delicious. I would recommend trying the beautiful cranberry salad, it was very light, tasty and flavourful. If you’ve never tried Bocconcino’s fresh pasta you’ve been missing out! I had the pesto spaghetti and to my surprise it was rich, creamy but also very balanced. None of the ingredients were too muted nor dominant. There was also something very wonderful about the texture of the spaghetti. I think you’ll just have to taste it to understand fully. The entire experience was very wonderful, one that’s rare to find nowadays. I believe that great restaurants are created as a result of strong leadership/partnership. It’s evident that owner Elena loves and cares for this place so much and Chef/ business partner Salvatore cooks from the heart. I would truly give this place more than 5 stars if that was possible.

We had dinner here last night and all of the reviews are correct - the food here is delicious and the service makes you feel like you've been invited into an Italian home. My husband had the linguine pescatore, which was overflowing with seafood - clams, mussels, prawns, octopus and calamari. I had the Ravioli ai Porcini, which was an homage to the mushroom. When I had trouble deciding on a starter, our waiter recommended the eggplant parmesan, which isn't on the menu. It was simply fantastic. Our wine also wasn't on the wine list but again recommended to us - a Tuscan Red that was not expensive but probably should be. Then the dessert. We each had a slice of Nonna's torta which was, of course, deliciously indescribable. You have to try it to understand. My last comment is about the wine list - it was an album of photos of wine bottles with the occasional paper label. Charming. Overall, I can't recommend this place enough. It's worth the trek from Vancouver, never mind downtown Toronto.

Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for authentic Italian food in Woodbridge, this place is a gem! From the moment you walk in, you feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere, almost like stepping into Italy itself. The pasta is fresh and homemade, the sauces are perfectly balanced, and every dish is full of flavor. The staff is attentive, friendly, and truly make you feel like family. I especially loved the seafood and pasta – it was absolutely outstanding! The wine list also pairs beautifully with the menu. Whether it’s for a cozy dinner, a special celebration, or just a night out, this restaurant is a must-visit. Definitely my best Italian dining experiences in the GTA! Thank you so much for hosting us for my husband’s birthday party!

Bocconcino Restaurant hours for Saturday are listed as 12pm - 10pm on January 12, 2019. I called at 4pm to see if I needed a reservation for 4 people in the next 5 minutes. The response was no but we are on break. I asked can we still come in? He said yes but we are on break. From that time forward the owner was not pleasurable. He was rude and it was like an inconvenience that we were there. We had just sat down and the chef came out yelling are they going to order or what? There was much more said throughout our dinner that we felt on edge, bullied and wanted to leave. The last and final comment was are you having dessert or not because I have my restaurant full tonight with reservations. Meanwhile there were many empty tables left and we were leaving anyway. As far as the food, excellent. Will we go back,...
