Was visiting the area and this landed up being a google search find. Overall the food is good and fresh and this place is worth a visit. We ordered the chicken Tinga and baja fish tacos. They accommodated us by giving crispy tacos instead of soft although I would say maybe so should have stuck to having them soft. The tacos were fresh in taste but could do with some more flavours. We also ordered the burrito bowl - the taste was good but nothing like a burrito bowl. It tasted more like the rice bowl at subway. It was tasty but no burrito taste. Also it had no beans which was odd for a burrito bowl. The fish and chips was good had no fishy taste and was served with 3 dips. I ended the meal with churros they were very doughy from the inside so would not recommend it . The ambience of the place is nice and casual with Mexican music playing in the background. The portions sizes can definitely be improved for the price charged especially the mains. The service is very slow so you might want to take your time when visiting this place. I understand that they are a relatively growing place and might be able to support more staff eventually.

We were feeling Mexican food and saw the good reviews so we gave it a try. We thought the food was good, nothing I'd write home about but it was enjoyable. We got the beef chimichanga and chicken quesadillas to start. The chicken quesadillas were okay, but I enjoyed the beef chimichanga more, it was seasoned nicely and I'd recommend ordering this. Next we got the beef carne asada tacos, they were flavoured nicely but the beef was overcooked and the tacos felt a little empty. For dessert we ordered the churros and honestly they were my favourite thing we ate. I'd recommend getting these if you come or leave room for them because they were made fresh and the cinnamon on them were delicious even without the dips. On the menu it said $5 but they came out to $8 on my receipt...this isn't going to break the bank, but keep this in mind if you order them. We were expecting slightly better quality all around for the price you're paying and due to all the really good reviews. However, we thought the food was overall good, it's a stand out among Mexican restaurants in the area and would recommend you trying it out for yourself.

Not only was service extremely slow to receive chips and guacamole, and then again, and even longer wait to receive the al pastor tacos. It was barely a bit of canned pineapple, a top completely unseasoned, bland pork chunks. This meat completely lacked even a touch of salt. When broaching the server about the lack of seasoning and salt, she insisted that that's just the way they make it and the way it is supposed to be. I reaffirmed I was speaking to it lacking salt and nothing to do with the amount of chili, and she rudely insisted it is not supposed to be made with salt, that's the way it is. I am a chef and don't generally like to throw that around when dining out because I know how difficult the food industry is, but to be told something is not supposed to be made with salt and insisting I in fact am the one that is wrong about the blandness is deeply distressing. There are so many great Mexican restaurants in the GTA, and unfortunately, Mila's is not one of them. Salt is essential to any dish, and to say a dish is not made with any salt is next level ignorant. Could not even finish my meal.

Slow service. Low staff only few workers.1 person seats you the disappears for 20-30 mins. I have no clue if these are paid reviews or just friends and family or even worse people who clearly have no clue what good food taste like. I used to have my own business also serving food to customers and if I sent out some of the dishes that I received I would be embarrassed, the food wouldn't have even been sent out period. I went for my birthday with my family and we all ordered the following: Carne Asada Tacos

Al pastor Tacos

Chimichanga

Garlic Parmesan Fries with spicy aioli

Loaded Nachos

Crunchwrap

The Al pastor tacos were actually good and decent. They just needed some more salt with no salt shakers in place(I'm sure due to convid) or individual salt packs, they were left pretty flavorless but had some good spice to it..just lacked balance of salt. Meat portion was ok.

The Carne asada tacos were also just ok but again absolutely no salt. So pretty bland. Meat portion was ok.

The Chimechanga was actually one of the better items that we tried. It was a nice portion with lots of filling and tasty all in all, the salt was again low on this, You guys need to use a bit more salt. It will only make more sales as salt brings out the flavors. I used to season my food and salt accordingly and had people coming back for more over and over! Free tip for you.

The Garlic Parmesan fries were really good really crispy and the dip delicious!

The Loaded nacos were also pretty good portion a little small but decent still.

The Crunch wrap is the biggest fail I've seen recently. If I were you guys I would pull it off the menu. It's sad when a Taco bell crunch wrap embarrasses an actual mexican restaurant, comon guys you can do better. This is probably the most honest review you're going to read. The sad part is we ordered 2 crunch wraps at $15 a pop..$30 in for basically a wrap stuffed with lettuce and a few crumbs of tomatoes a tiny portion of meat and ok it had the crunch chip and absolutely nothing else. I don't know what happend that night but this thing was a joke. It's the smallest thing the size is a joke. This should sell for like $2.99

You guys are charging way too much for this lettuce wrap. If your going to sell this at least make the wrap a huge one to justify the cost. Considering most of the filling would be in the center the wrap can fold around giving the illusion of a much bigger wrap. Seriously the 12 inch or 14" wraps cost a couple bucks more but why sell yourselves short? Be proud to serve this thing properly. Please fix this...

After looking through the online menu, my boyfriend and I decided to give Mila’s Mexican Restaurant a shot. We were greeted by an empty parking lot and a lonely strip mall vibe next to a massage parlor, which didn't exactly scream “authentic Mexican cuisine.” Despite our reservations, we walked in, hoping for a hidden gem. The interior was a mishmash of cliché Mexican decor, complete with random cacti, a failed attempt at pyramids, and a random world map. The hostess barely uttered a word as she handed us menus that were on the brink of falling apart.

As we waited for what felt like an eternity, more patrons trickled in, receiving the same lackluster service. Our food eventually arrived after a 40-minute wait, only to disappoint. Boyfriend’s “enchilada” resembled a chimichanga drowning in cheese. My chicken bowl was dry and lacked flavor, with a single piece of cilantro attempting to save the day.

To add insult to injury, I watched in horror as the bartender prepared a margarita, leaving it watery and foamy. As a self-proclaimed drink connoisseur, I couldn't help but cringe.

In conclusion, Mila’s Mexican Restaurant has a long way to go before it lives up to its hype. Please, for the love of all things Mexican cuisine, do better. And please, update your online menu - chicken wings and Tex-Mex poutine are nowhere...

I didn’t get to take photos of the food because I was so hungry but the presentation of the food was good. The only con I would say was when we ordered the supreme fries, the cheese was relatively cold so there was no cheese pull. The food was yummy otherwise. The crunch wrap was quite filling after having the supreme fries, I was having a hard time finishing it ahaha. It was filled with ingredients. It didn’t lack flavour and I thoroughly enjoyed each bite! We ordered the chicken tinga and the crunch wrap which also came with some chips, salsa, and sour cream. I loved mixing the sour cream and the hot sauce (it has a little kick to it, loved the flavour) that came with the supreme fries! We also ordered churros. It was two for around $8. They were medium sized each stick, they were so warm. I would say it’s a nice little splurge. This restaurant is a good spot to hang out, it’s clean, good amount of seating, it’s right across the escape room “trapped” so it’s great to go before or after! Price was reasonable for the food, music was at a good volume, friendly service all around. I remember reading a review about the washroom light being broken, when I used the bathroom it was clean and there was light. Would come here again and recommend to anyone who wants to have a good bite. Can’t wait to come back to try more...
