Our 8 year old son just had all his dreams come true by MARK BASILI, literally the nicest man we have ever met!! Our son Lochlyn is obsessed with cars. I mean OBSESSED!! He knows more about cars than anyone we know and his favourite days are when we come to auto circle drive and look at all the Luxury cars. The SECOND we walked into the McLaren dealership, the receptionist greeted us and then to the right we saw a man stand up and greet us with the biggest smile. We explained we are just looking around because our son is a car fanatic!!! . He immediately said that he was too as a child and came right over to us and asked our son what his favourite McLaren is. NOW, It’s important to note that our son does NOT speak to ANYONE outside of my husband, myself and his nannie. Not anyone. At all. Ever. Without hesitation our son answered him that a Senna was his favourite. My husband and I were speechless. We have been waiting years for him to talk in public, so not only were Lochlyn’s dreams being made, but ours too seeing him so comfortable that he spoke to someone out loud. Mark asked him if he wanted to sit in one of the cars, then went and got permission to let Lochlyn sit in the car of his dreams. Mark opened the door, adjusted the seat, and stood with us most likely remembering himself doing the same. The look on Lochlyn’s face was one of pure admiration and glee. Mark then showed him a P1 and stayed with us the whole time as Lochlyn continued to speak out loud and to Mark too. He answered any questions that were asked and never rushed us once. When we left, we couldn’t thank Mark enough!! Lochlyn left with a McLaren poster, an invite to come back anytime and a core memory made by Mark Basili.
