Went to lunch here with my boyfriend. Paid 32 dollars and change for two chicken shawarma plates; took it to go.
When we asked for a lot of a tzatziki sauce she gave us a look of concern and said next time she will have to charge us for it... I have never heard of this before; but ok just charge me for it... it is just sauce and a couple bucks. - considering she only put like 3 lines of tzatziki sauce at first.
She gave us stale rice; one of them was from the pan at the front and she had to go get more from the back... which was still stale and cold.
The chicken sat on the grill for a little bit of time; but was still cold in our plates. We had to literally microwave our food when we got back and still didn’t bother finishing it because the meat had a funny taste to it... I guess the grill wasn’t on??
She didn’t put dressing on the salad either. - tomatoes and onions were soggy and gross.
The potatoes were stone cold.
I got really frustrated getting told I would have to pay for tzatziki - I go to the Langstaff one all the time; never had a problem with my food being cold or the food tasting bad. - thought we would give this pita land another try as we heard it was new owners; thinking it probably changed now (I.e not being cheap on the amount of food on your plate) but it didn’t.
Take the extra five minutes and drive down to the Langstaff location; they are a lot more generous with their portions (chicken, rice and potatoes) and also food is always HOT!!! I’ve never had to pay for tzatziki and their toppings for the salad are always fresh (or at least better than here)
Definitely never coming to this location anymore. My boyfriend wanted to take it back; and honestly we...
Read moreReally disappointing experience. Pre-ordered my food on Uber for pick up. For myself and my kids. Got there 10 minutes after I ordered and it wasn’t even started (that’s fine, I get it) so we decide we will just eat it in there. I set the kids up at the table, 5 minutes later my cell phone rings and it’s the restaurant stating they can’t make 4 of the items on the order. At this point over 15 minutes has passed since I placed the order and I’m just now being informed. So I said ok I will place a difference order - the employee asks me to cancel the order. However, since they accepted the order and 15 minutes has passed, Uber won’t let me cancel the order. it was over $120 order and so I didn’t want to pay twice and was waiting on her to cancel the order. Instead of cancelling the order and taking my new order, she moved on to the customer behind me - we were being incredibly polite and patient. Since she then decided to not properly handle the situation, It took me over another 10 minutes just to get her to cancel the order. At this point it’s been over 30 minutes and my kids basically still have nothing to eat and I haven’t even been able to place another order. Why not remove items you don’t have from the menu? I was too annoyed to even stay and we left with no food. I hadn’t been here in about a year and I figured I would go back and try again. The place is always empty lately, and this is...
Read moreI recently visited Pita Land and was lucky enough to have Abdul serve me. I have to say, he made my experience there truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, Abdul greeted me with a smile and a friendly welcome. He went above and beyond to ensure that my order was taken correctly and that I received it promptly.
Not only was Abdul efficient and professional, but he also demonstrated a genuine passion for his job. He was knowledgeable about the menu and offered helpful suggestions on what to order. His positive attitude and excellent customer service skills truly made my day.
In a world where good customer service is becoming increasingly rare, Abdul is a shining example of what it means to go above and beyond for customers. I highly recommend Pita Land and specifically Abdul to anyone looking for a great meal served with a smile. Thank you, Abdul, for making my visit such a...
