Gallo Churrasqueira Inc — Restaurant in Vaughan

This is by far my favourite Portuguese restaurants in York region. The food here is so delicious, my family tries to order this for each holiday or occasion we have. They have so much to order. This place kind of has a mom and pop shop feel where it’s so cozy and familiar. The staff are so nice when you come in and don’t rush you when you’re trying to order. I like how you can see the food in front of you, instead of being hidden in some back room. My favourite is the potatoes. They’re always roasted and seasoned to perfection that I eat them with other meals. Chicken is not my favourite meat, but I like how theirs is so juicy and tender it is. Definitely something easy to order if you decide to eat here. And they give such great portions for their rice ! I really like how light it is, and goes really well with their potatoes and chicken. This place is absolutely fantastic. Myself and my family have ordered from here multiple times and we have never been disappointed. The food is always incredibly fresh and the service is superb. The employees are always friendly and they always put their customers first. I want to give a huge thank you to Loris for always putting his all into what he does. This man is incredible with his customers and treats them as if he's known them forever. He does not treat you like you are just some other customer but rather with so much respect and love. I would mention all the other employees but I do not know their names however they do not go unnoticed. All of the employees work hard and want to ensure the satisfaction of their customers. Every Sunday my grandmother invites us all over to eat at her house. In the last 5 years, she’s purchased chicken, ribs, potatoes and rice from Gallo Churrasqeira probably around 10-15 times. With that being said, I believe I have a well rounded opinion of the restaurant. This is by far the WORST Portuguese food I’ve ever eaten. The chicken is routinely dry, the rice and potatoes are good (those are hard to mess up), but the ribs- the worst ribs I’ve ever had at any restaurant PERIOD!!! If you ordered ribs from this place thinking they were gonna come with meat, you’re wrong. The ribs are all bone. This restaurant is an absolute embarrassment.
