Their service is atrocious. Upon entering the restaurant, we were not greeted by a single one of the 5 staff members in the front for at least 3 minutes. Once greeted we were asked for our reservation which we didn't have. It seemed to be an inconvenience that we walked in, but they proceeded to ask for my name and phone number anyways. It was very odd, but we washed it off to them potentially dealing with an issue. On our way to be seated at a table at 4pm, while we were being led to our table, were abruptly told “you have to leave by 6pm” without any pleasantries or even considering asking us if we would be having a meal or just nibbles before telling us we were on a clock. They proceeded to sit us at the table right in-front of the service door of the dishwashing room and servers station. We asked if we could please be sat elsewhere. We would be having a private conversation regarding a sensitive issue and would rather not have people standing right behind us. The hostess left us standing in the back of the restaurant, and upon returning we were told there are no other tables available in the entire restaurant. There are about 60-70+ tables in the restaurant and there were only 3 tables being occupied. Even if there are reservations trickling in over the next 2 hours, I find it hard to believe there was zero ability to accommodate any other table in the entire restaurant. Even if a restaurant is fully booked, people are late, people do not show. There are always accommodations that can be made. After the 3 unpleasant exchanges before even sitting down we felt unwelcome in this establishment and we decided to leave. While leaving I saw the manager and informed her that we were not pleased with the service and dismissive attitudes we had encountered regarding these issues. The manager attempted to excuse the hostess unprofessionalism due to her “being a child”. They proceeded to argue with us when we said we would not like to sit in front of the service door. They argued about how it was a beautiful table and that there was not a single table elsewhere in the restaurant available (at that point 60-70 open). Finally I was told they could accommodate us after multiple exchanges. We left out of frustration. Clearly the hostess’ was not adequately trained which unfortunately created an exceptionally unpleasant experience. The manager on site was condescending and unprofessional. A few moments later the manager called me on my phone to “attempt to rectify” the situation and plead with me not to write a bad review because it is a family business. She proceeded to excuse her conversation with me due to being blindsided by my confronting her over the issue. Full stop when a patron provides negative feedback, you apologize without excuses. Read moreFirst time at Perla and I have a lot to say. To start we were greeted by a lovely hostess who was cheery and bright we loved her personality. She sat us at our table and asked if we had anything we were celebrating tonight and we had told her it was our first time and wanted to try something new. Our server greeted us and told us her name and a few specials for the evening. We looked around and before we knew it the place was absolutely packed with a lot of smiling faces, servers and guests hugging and laughing, it felt so cozy and warm. We started off with the grilled octopus and scallops along with bacon and caviar, both suggestions by the server and by far the best appetizers I have ever had I think in my entire life.
We asked the server to recommend any wine for the choices of mains we were considering, we gave her the options to pick between two wines ( Very very different in price). When she arrived back we saw the bottle that was on the lower end on price (only by $20) and questioned “why” she stated it was a much bolder choice for steak and more refined then the other. 10/10 for honesty because she was absolutely correct.
Mains came out and we got a steak along with a fish. The steak was cooked to perfection. Grill marks/Perfect temperature it was perfect.
Our server advised us that the gentlemen on the grill has been with this company since day 1 and we were extremely pleased.
Looking around the servers work incredibly hard, the clients are all having a fantastic time. When the bill came she had apologized for the wait and I mentioned when the atmosphere is this cozy and upbeat, we could have waited all night and she did not take long at all.
Perla is for people who enjoy a fantastic meal and don’t realize how fantastic the service can honestly be. This place is spectacular from start to finish I don’t believe one single review that disagrees with anything less than 5 stars

I also don’t like to write half ass reviews because someone asked me to and offered me 10% or a free app if I do it. I attended Perla yesterday around 6:00pm for the first time at their new location. Now, I have attended their previous location back during COVID when every restaurant took a hit and I will be honest and say it was good…not amazing. But I did understand the struggle and did not fault them. I was so happy to see that they expanded and opened this BEAUTIFUL location. Looks aren’t everything but definitely a good start. I was greeted by an amazing hostess where her and her partner moved things around in order to accommodate my friend and I who did not have reservations. She didn’t want to sit me at a table where we would have to move after an hour. I mean this already is a good sign that they are doing something right if on a Monday they are super busy where they have to play tetris to accommodate a walk-in. So thank you to the hostess (I wish I caught your names). While I waited for my friend, our server came and introduced himself. Eric…Eric with a C to be specific. From start to finish he was PHENOMENAL! He is attentive, funny and VERY knowledgeable and could sell you air haha I am fairly indecisive…I want everything but obviously can’t. I asked him to pick 2-3 items from each section to recommend…and he nailed it. Pretty much everything I had my eye on, he recommended. Which made it a bit more difficult but from there we chatted a bit more and by process of elimination I finally decided. No regrets…that Seafood Linguine…CRAVABLE. I never order pasta because I feel like most places butcher them or it never WOWS me. I could write so much more but no one has time to read. It’s not everyday where you get top notch service.
