Sunset Grill — Restaurant in Vaughan

Got here around 1. Took the waitress 10 mins to bring me a menu and a coffee. When she came with my food the coffee cup was empty i wasn’t asked for a top and it took her 20 mins to circle back to me to ask me for coffee. By the i was 90% done my meal. Food and service here use to be good, as of late its starting to slip. My sunny side up eggs were swinging in oil. Food is still not bad as this is the first time i have had a issue but service has been slipping for awhile. The owner needs to understand 1 waitress to serve 11 tables @ lunch is not sufficient.

Once again i am sitting here and once again food is good but we go back to service. Not only have i not been asked for a top up of my coffee. I mentioned to the waitress that i needed coffee and she walked around for 20 mins serving other customer, going to to back room, putting juice in the fridge, topping up other customers coffee but not the person who asked. Finally 20 mins later i had to ask her again. I am beginning to wonder if this is just a arrogant server. Sunset Grill this is now a franchise level issue don’t pass the buck to the owner as per...

Sunset Grill is one of our favourite restaurants which is why we were so pleased when we noticed this new location closer to our home. We accepted the fact that the staff would have a learning curve but today was our third and final visit. I spoke to the Manager today and recommended that she go to some other locations to see how things are supposed to be done. She told me (lol) that she had two locations and that she was a training centre. If this is true, maybe Sunset Grill needs to visit more of their restaurants to ensure that their standards are being maintained. This manager should remember that customers can make or break a restaurant. The service was slow. Staff and as it turns out the manager were too busy talking rather than looking after customers. Although the restaurant was almost empty, the tables had not even been set. We have been to enough Sunset Grill restaurants to know that this restaurant is not up to standard. Good luck with your restaurant Madame Manager because you are going to need it We would not recommend...

Went there a few days on a Friday...think it was the Friday before the long weekend. The worst location for waitress service and food. The waitress seems too busy concerned about "how busy" she is and has no concern for actually doing her job. She makes 2 rounds...one to take your order, one to ask you if "need anything" else...Yes! If you would come around more often perhaps "WE COULD TELL YOU IF NEED ANYTHING ELSE??". If you NEED more help bark, squawk at your Manager...your Franchise owner. Just Awful service, not enough staff. I looked where the cooks are....what 2 cooks??? On a Friday at Peak service?? Come on man...we used to hold our short meetings there etc. Never again. We avoid the place like the plague. Your poor service, quality and general attitudes...especially the one waitress...is disappointing to ALL the other Sunset Grills we have attended. Your location by far the worse. If there was a negative 5...you would get that rating. Clean up your act. You are taking a prime location spot...
