Absolutely delicious Pho. This Vietnamese restaurant has an extensive menu chock full of dishes I haven't even seen before. I will definitely be returning 'pho' another helping!

I was really impressed with how quickly our food came after we ordered it, and when it arrived it was a generous portion (large bowl, steak and brisket) for $14. Also of note, when my friend asked for more veggies instead of noodles they were more than happy to oblige. The broth had an excellent richly spiced flavour (not to be confused with spicy), and was served with copious amounts of fresh sprouts and basil. The fact they also provide free hot tea is an added bonus.

I honestly can't think of anything really negative about the experience at all. I would highly recommend this spot to a seasoned Pho fan and newbie alike. If you're not super hungry, a regular portion will suffice, but the large is only $1.25 more and gets you a meal and then some! Try out the broth before you jazz it up, as I was surprised at how flavourful it was with nothing added at all. The server, who noticed how much spice I added, recommended I try to Spicy version next time I come in as it's seasoned with a secret selection of spices!

Victoria is really quite a delight when it comes to discovering new Asian food venues, and this one is definitely a worthy contender for one of the top spots in the Vietnamese cuisine department. Maybe even better than my local neighbourhood...

Thanks very much for your reply. I cannot reply directly to you.

Yes, she. A female. At front desk probably cashier.

Very very horrible experience with the waiter. Do not come if you want to have a great day.

First, we come with family, when the waiter in the front desk serve us and ready to order. She showed a very bad manner without any respect. After we ordered, she did not even say a word okay. Just nod her head when I asked if she understood what we ordered.

During eating, I found a very black shrimp. But I just leave as it is. When my kid ask for a candy, she ignored him many many times. And finally she said, you will get one when your mom paying. We asked for box for packing up many many times, especially not many clients today. And she ignored as well. Finally get one for us with very very good manner.

Finally , when I show her the black and dirty shrimp, she said with very bad tone: it is as it is. No sorry at all. We packed up for three boxes, asking for a bag, she also showed very impatient and even throw that bag to us.

We have known this restaurant for many years and brought and recommend our friends to there a lot of times. But now, no! Never want to go anymore.

This is the first time I wrote such a review. Please take seriously! No shown appreciation at all. Such such bad experience.

If you changed your waiter, I...

This is one of my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant in town ! Convenient to anywhere in downtown area and they are always busy, you can tell most people knew what they are looking for when comes to the quality of food! I had lunch there and even though many people were there that day , but we didn’t wait too long for our order! When you look out from the windows, you can see beautiful downtown and busy street with people come and goes from all different directions. Love this place and will go again! when my daddy came to canada 🇨🇦 visited me , one thing about Canada he loves best was Vietnamese food! If he ever come to Victoria again, this will be the place I take him for lunch or dinner ! We will try every Vietnamese Restaurant in Victoria ! Ate at this place when we were starving and craving some hot pho. Got two big bowls with spring rolls and coconut shrimp as appetizers. also had a Vietnamese iced coffe. The pho tasted pretty good, although I've had better tasting pho at other, even smaller, less reviewed, hole-in-the-wall type restaurants. The coconut shrimp was decent but nothing special, tasted like you could get it anywhere else, but no flavor of coconut. The spring rolls were really big and tasty but the peanut sauce tasted like straight up peanut butter, so we mixed it with some hoisin sauce. The coffee is always great if you're into a very strong Vietnamese coffee. So one star down for flavor, and the other star is down for the service. The women seemed polite for the most part but never checked on us at all. For example, we ran out of water and no one came the whole time we ate until I got up and asked for water at the register. Not bad, but seems overhyped. Can definitely find a better experience at a smaller hole in the wall business.

I would leave 1 star but leaving 2 for old times sakes as I haven’t had an experience this appalling with them before. This visit was really disappointing. My friend and I ordered two dishes, and when one of our dishes had some remnants of what seems to be a metal dish scrubber, we let the staff know who attempted to rectify the situation offered to remake the dish. We thought that was it but towards the end while paying we asked for two containers to take our food home, when the waiter scoffed and left our table and took the payment machine too. Later when he came back, he immediately saw that there was another table waving him down and just went over to them leaving my friend and I having to go to the front to be able to pay. In another note they also were not attentive filling up my water. Small but noted. Disappointed, hoping it was just a one time fluke. Won’t be back for a good while.
