Serious Coffee View Royal — Restaurant in View Royal

If I could give it 0 I would. Every time I've come here the server is consistently rude. I work in customer service and know very well how it feels to have unnecessarily rude customers so I make a point of being very polite when the situation is reversed. So I'm not sure where this lady's attitude was coming from. When I first walk in the door, without any greeting, smile, or words, the lady behind the til stands there glaring at me. I place my order, she grabs the pastry and throws it on the counter and tells me "we close at 7" (it's 6:00pm at this point). I ask for a glass of water as well and she says I can do it myself (I didn't know they had a pitcher of water 10 feet away). She didn't show me where the water was or anything, she just left it at that. She tells me the total, hands me the machine and walks away. I pay for my order and go sit down, later to hear my friends come in at 6:30, she receives the exact same service as I did, except when she goes to order a grilled food item on their menu, the worker says "no you can't have that I turned the grill off"...Not selling an item to a customer because you turned your grill off half an hour early before closing in ridiculous. The food was disgusting, dry, crumbly and slimy. I am consistently disappointed in this place with the customer service (if you can even call it that) the only thing it has going for it at this point is...

I have been going here off and on for a few years now. I stop by because it is the only coffee shop around that offers Almond Milk and its the only one now that the Westshore Mall location closed. Every time I am there the ladies look like they are 'unimpressed' with working there or at least serving a customer. I purchase groups of coffees for the office (totalling $50 or more sometimes) and then I go on my own and each time the same service. I do tip and I do smile, so I don't feel it is necessary for the type of service I get. Today, just like everyday was no exception, the worst part about it was I ordered my drink and instead of Vanilla flavouring they put in Peppermint - YUCK!! Now I have just wasted $6 on a drink that I cannot drink. Please fix the problem there, the girls obviously are unhappy and reflect it upon the service for the customers. Funny thing, is a lady showed up with a baby just after they served me and were pleasant and nice because they knew her (I am guessing a former co-worker), so I guess its subjective on who they...

I have been in the area writing a play and pick out different coffee shops daily. I like Serious Coffee and have also enjoyed a breakfast sandwich several times. Today at your site I ordered a breakfast sandwich with bacon, previously I was having sausage. I was told you don’t have sausage it must have been at another location. I ordered the bacon. When I got it , it was pressed into a sandwich shape. Bagels are already dense and the pressing on the grill, ( I understand to heat it up, ) turned it very dense and very chewy. It was not enjoyable. I did not bring this to your attention because I didn’t want any recourse or reimbursement. I only want to bring it to your attention. Don’t squish bagels. The bigger story is that there is an inconsistency across the different Cafes. I assume it must be an option whether you carry the same products or (Sausage) or prepare the same way.
